Such a lovely woodland dog walk plus the field! Created by the very friendly wardens who obviously love the site, thank you. Delightful natural and peaceful site with gorgeous views. Lack of good WiFi can be frustrating in this modern world but it’s a compromise worth accepting.
Fantastic Views and Peaceful
We stayed here with a caravan and awning for 9 nights in August ( 2 adults, my teenage daughter and her friend and a dog). All the pitches are wonderfully spread out and other caravaners were friendly and relaxed too. The site is in the middle of nowhere which is perhaps why tv reception was not as some members expected. But for us the channels were adequate as we chose the site to get away from it all and admire the scenery… which this site exceeded our expectations in both its location and the relaxing atmosphere the wardens and layout provided. The dog walks, cleanliness, layout and the friendly wardens made our time on the site enjoyable. The site is central enough for stunning drives out to beaches, North Wales coast / Mountains and also visit quaint small Welsh towns close by too. There was enough around for our party to go out and about make the most of the sunshine in the afternoons. I would definitely recommend the Machynlleth to Pwhelli train journey too. I enjoyed the break so much I stayed for an additional week…all in all a great site to unwind, relax and do nothing but conveniently located in a stunning area for getting out and about when you are feeling energetic too.
Lovely August Bank Holiday break
We have just returned from three nights at this lovely site. We have visited before and its one of our favourites! The wardens are lovely and welcoming and the site is really well kept. No rows of caravans like a car park which isn't for us. Lots of separate pitches lots of trees and birdies just what we love! So much to do in the area. Really looking forward to our next visit!
Many thanks
Disappointed
The wardens were friendly and welcoming. However the handbook stated that TV reception was good. When we tried to tune in we could only get channel 5. The site had two boosters on but the warden stated that since last years storms reception was not good and there was no way ITV could be received. She also said that there were too many leaves on the trees so that was the problem. We were also told that our 7.09mtr motorhome was too long for the pitches in the main site and we would have to use the annexe site across the road. This was fine quiet and secluded and a good dog walking area. I asked about footpaths in the are and she said they weren’t good and not many of them. Very true.
My wife is not a good Walker and enjoys watching TV whilst away on holiday however she could not do this and totally spoilt the holiday. If the description in the handbook had been truthful about the TV reception then we wouldn’t have chosen the site. Very disappointed.
Beautiful location and lovely people.
The wardens on this site are fabulous, going above and beyond to help us out when we had trouble with our breakdown company who left us stranded.
Beautiful location near to both beaches and mountain walks with some pitches having views across the hills. We will hopefully return again under better circumstances as the continued trouble with our breakdown provider spoiled what would have been a restful break. Thanks again for the help, it was greatly appreciated.
Wish we could have stayed longer!
Sadly, we were only able to stay 2 nights at this delightful, quiet and peaceful site, beautiful, natural and well designed to provide pitches with stunning views and access to well positioned service points. Wardens, Janet and Pete, not only offered us a exceptionally warm welcome but also were very helpful throughout our stay, especially with the need to repair a damaged wing mirror. Their local knowledge enabled us to enjoy a superb day out in the gorgeous Welsh countryside which was new to us.
We will, certainly, return to this very special site and look forward to meeting up again with Buddy and Bobby.
Quite but hilly.
Nice site laid out well. Steep gradient to walk up wife suffered a bit on the knees. We were in the top location across Road at the top. Very quiet and peaceful..pitches are very uneven so had to play around abit with ramps. Gaught the bus from down the road into Newtown they run every 2hrs so ok .Nice dog walks around edge of site. Site was kept tidy and clean so well done to the warden's
Delightful little site
We could not have wished for more, quiet and peaceful with the exception of a child’s shrieks. They left next day. There were loads of birds that we were able to watch due to our next door neighbour having a bird feeder. Must remember next time. The only possible downside is if you come late you could have little choice if full, as a few pitches for a M/H are very uneven and small not giving you a great area to level. But for the cost and the area it’s worth the risk.
SMALL HIDDEN GEM
What a lovely little site, hidden in some woods on the side of a hill with wonderful views across the valley and to the hills beyond. Pitches are on terraced glades some only taking 1 van, some taking up to 6 vans, all with good views. Wardens directed up to 2 adjacent pitches as we were with our daughters family which turned out to be 2 of the best pitches on site. Nice friendly and helpful wardens.

Peaceful little gem
Stayed here in early July, unfortunately only for one night! If you like the countryside and all it has to offer, then this is the site for you! It was peaceful, excellent dog walks, plenty of walks from site, and we even had a tree with budding hazelnuts on our pitch. It was all very well maintained, and wardens very helpful. Most of the pitches seemed to be level, and there were plenty of water and waste stations around. This was our first visit, but it most certainly won't be our last!!
