A lovely small and peaceful location plenty of walks to go on
This is what we wanted although no toilet block didn't bother us. Will defo stay again at this campsite
Peaceful almost idyllic
This site is special. I visited it for a five night stay in the middle of August 2022. I was aware that it has no onsite facilities and that is why I only gave it two stars for "Good for families". However it is peaceful and has an old fashioned camping charm about it. Whilst wifi and 4G are somewhat difficult, this encourages one to get away from the daily tedium of one's hectic life. The surrounding scenery is beautiful with big hills rather than the mountains further north and the mist and rain add to its charm. So this is the place to relax, walk and also visit interesting places which are not too far. I visited Welshpool, Dolgellau, Macynlleth and Newtown which all take one back in time. Also Corris was a great find with a good pub. The wardens were there for anything I needed and the local shop is a few miles away for most daily essentials. I will certainly be back.
Utterly Charming
Lovely lovely site with the most helpful site managers ever. This no facility site is a little gem set among the hills and trees of Powis. Easy access to visit the sites of the region we only wish there were more of these no facility sites which offer such a quiet and peaceful getaway from the world. For couples and singles it's ideal it's almost an adult only site which is to be expected on a no facility site, fresh water, waste water and chemical disposal available within yards of every pitch.

WHAT A LITTLE GEM
We have Just spent 14 nights here, discovering a very, beautiful, unspoilt and somewhat overlooked area of Mid Wales.
This site is quite a little gem. Not too big and set in a quiet beautiful location. It is easy to get to, easy access off the A470 and fairly central to many places of interest and natural beauty. it is a sloping site but pitches are reasonably level and nicely set within tree lined grassy areas. There is no toilet block but not a problem with onboard caravan facilities.
TV reception was ok but a bit scrambly at times because we were at the top of the site on pitch 26. Our phone signal was good though (both EE and Vodaphone) so we could use our mobile data ok. Wifi limited to a small area around the information hut.
There is a lovely little woodland Dog Walk, with a Bird Hide and small Pond.
The Wardens Pete and Janet are great. They are warm, welcoming, friendly and a mine of information, which they gladly give to help make your stay more enjoyable. Pete told us about the Torrent Walk at Brithdir, just outside Dolgellau, which we did.
A beautiful walk down a tree covered gorge, with a flowing river and falls. A great little 3 miler to do an a hot day.
All in all, we had a fantastic time, at a lovely well looked after, quiet and picturesque club site.
With thanks to Pete and Janet who are great wardens and a credit to the Caravan Club.
Highly recommended and great value at the club's tour for less £17/night.

A quiet few nights in the rain, with limited TV reception, no phone signal and no wifi ..
This is a picturesque site. Most pitches are overhung by trees which affect tv reception, limits phone signals and gives those loud drips on your van roof in the rain. It's a very steep site to walk up and down. Dog walk is excellent and very big (at top of site over the road). There is little to do walking from site. No facilities. WiFi hotspot at reception only. Worth a climb up the hill via the lane from site as there are some great views.

Excellent site.
Booked in for same night stop over. Straightforward and welcoming. Chose Pitch 17, hardstanding including EHU for £17 which we felt was great value. Site is peaceful and easy to find and access. Warden was very helpful and pleasant. Overall a very good experience. Highly recommend.
Peaceful site great wardens
Had six nights here when we arrived there wasn’t many pitches the warden suggested we could go on the pitches across the road to the other side which was okay, thought we would move in the morning when pitches came available woke up in the morning to just bird song so decided to stay where we were. The only downfall we decided to walk on the footpath to llanbrynmair nice walk except after going through esgair farm the farmer sent his 8 dogs down the lane after us and our dog, reported him to the police and council so be careful if you use it.
Great site, Great location and Great Wardens
What an idyllic location, with great dog walk and views which make up for the lack of toilet block. A great stay, and we will be back again without question
Quiet and peaceful campsite with lovely stewards
The roads and the pitches are in different layers of the terrain. We felt that were in the mountains and in nature. It's a quiet and peaceful campsite with lovely stewards. The best campsite we've ever been to.
Excellent place to stay
Wonderful peaceful site, well looked after by the friendly wardens. Clean, well maintained and tidy. Great views due to the terraced pitches. This site has an abundance of wildlife, we saw red kites most evenings. Got a great video of a nuthatch just outside the caravan. Had a fantastic, relaxing time. Will certainly visit again.
