Set on the outskirts of a small village, with plenty routes to head off out walking or cycling. Nearby Grafham Water has additional cycling routes and activities such as water sports, fishing etc to offer.
The site was extremely clean, tidy and well organised. Pitches are spacious and not too close together. Watching the birds, ducks and squirrels from such a peaceful location was lovely. The site has lovely childrens play area and a swimming pool (open summer time only), so would make a suitable place for families with children. For this reason, being a mature couple, we would probably avoid school holidays, so that we can make the most of the peace and quiet also available. The one downside is apart from the Community Shop and an Indian Restaurant there is no other resources in the village and the nearest pub for a lunch or dinner is probably too far to walk for most. We did drive to Hemmingford Grey for lunch at The Cock and had the most amazing lunch which we highly recommend trying. The local Indian Restaurant provided us with a very nice take away so would use this again too.
This site will probably become one of our "local" weekend places to disappear to outside of the high season.
