Jess on tour

This is a wonderful site if you like walking. You can go in any direction and you're unlikely to encounter any traffic. Grafham Water takes about 20mins to walk, through woodland and fields. The site and facilities are very well maintained and my Dad said the disabled toilet was the best one he'd used, up to now. The swimming pool is an added bonus. It's a site we'll come back to as it has everything we would want.

Peace and Quiet

My wife and I have had such a relaxed and pleasant stay on this lovely little club site. It has spotless facilities, set in a really lovely peaceful area and was enjoyable from start to finish. The warden Jenny couldn't have been more helpful and really made us feel welcome. She gave us great advice and help. A lovely, well run site. We will come back again.

Lovely weekend away

We have just returned from our lovely weekend away at Graffham Water with our 2 kids & dog.It is a beautiful quiet site with a little playground to keep the kids amused. There is a little pond with a fountain which you can drive over via a little bridge with your caravan. It is a lovely area & has a great dog walk. The sites pool opened this weekend which the kids loved. At busy times they used a wristband system as only 30 people allowed in pool at one time but this was not a problem.Graffham water is only about 5 minutes away in the car & is well worth the visit as you can walk or cycle for miles & is very picturesque. We had a hardstanding pitch which was big enough. The wardens were very helpful & friendly. The toilet blocks seemed very clean & the site was beautifully kept.We even managed to see Ollie the owl.We would highly recommend this site & would definatley be coming again.j

First time. Not the last.

Just back from 3 days in our motorhome. This site grows on you. It's very tranquil and peaceful with lots of birdlife including the infamous Ollie the Owl. It's about 3/4 mile down the lane to the Water and a 9 mile cycle/walk around with a cafe stop at Perry halfway. Also in Perry is a shop/Post Office which sells large frozen trout ready prepared, from the Water. Beautiful. No public transport contrary to the site details. Pool opens in a July. Overall very relaxing stay. Friendly wardens.

Holiday Bliss

Well we have just returned from 9 blissful days at the Grafham Water CC site. We visited the site 2 years ago & vowed to return for a longer stay as it is one of the most beautiful sites to spend a relaxing holiday on. The area around the site is really worth investigating, with great walks, pretty villages & the serene Grafham Water to visit for a tranquil coffee whilst overlooking the water. The Indian restaurant in the village is definitely worth a visit. The service is exceptional & the food is devine. There is a small community shop around the corner from the site which has the basic of provisions, at reasonable prices. The major supermarkets can be found in Huntingdon which is a 15 min drive away. All in all, the experience at Grafham Water will leave you calm, relaxed and it will be another 'must visit again' addition to your list of Caravan Club sites.

One of our favourite sites now.

What a lovely site, our stay was fantastic from start to finish. We arrived just after 2pm on a Friday for our 5 night stay. We were greeted by friendly staff who obviously enjoy their job and obviously take pride in their site. The site was quite full which doesn't surprise me as it is a gem. We managed to get a nice hard-standing pitch (not serviced). As the site is small you are never far away from the service points or the showers/toilets etc. The facilities (including showers/toilets/bins/washing up area/grounds were immaculate, even last thing at night when they had been in use all day.  We have a large dog who loves his walks so this was very important for us. At the rear of our caravan is the dog walk, which is a track running behind the site by a wheat field. Its not very long but long enough for the boy to do his business. The old camping field had just been mowed to allow people to play ball games or to walk dogs. It was great for us as the boy loves playing with a ball. Couldn't have asked for better.  Grafham Water is a short walk through the wheat field opposite the site. We did this everyday as the boys loves the water. All in all, we couldn't have had a better place to stay with the dog. If you enjoy cycling then make sure you take your bike as there are so many cycle rides nearby. There is a cycle hire place at Grafham Water, but I'm not sure on the cost. The reception sells very little so make sure you get your necessities before you arrive. There are supermarkets in Huntingdon which isn't too far away. The reception will get papers for you too, you just need to give them notice. A fish and chip van visits every Friday evening, but doesn't stay too long, times are displayed at reception. TV reception is very good using your aerial, and there are TV points too so I would say no need to cart your satellite dishes. Not much more to say really, its a brilliant site and we will definitely be back regularly. DON'T FORGET OLLIE THE OWL.

Camping as it should be

This has been our first visit to the site and have just returned home and booked a return visit already. On arrival we were met with the most enthusiastic welcome at reception and were booked in with humour and efficiency. The site itself made me smile just as soon as we drove to the barrier. It just has  charm by the bucket load, I don't know if this is because its quite small but at the same time spacious enough to not feel crammed in. The dog walk to the rear of the the site is great for a quick stroll in the morning and evening, while the larger one is great for exercise and play. However, just a short stroll from the site and you reach Graham Lakes and loads over open space (just be aware of the many cyclists). The shower blocks and dish washing area were immaculate. This site is in my opinion what other sites should strive to match. I really hope that the Caravan Club doesn't plan to increase the number of pitches on the site or indeed convert any more to hard standing. The mix is just about right. Finally, we were treated to a couple of sightings of Ollie the owl, what a magnificent bird, we also witnessed his interaction with some of the residents in the homes next to the park. That on its own was worth the visit. Thanks to the park wardens for making the site what it is. Can't wait to return again.

A little hidden gem!

What a treat to find this site! A wonderful warm and friendly greeting from the wardens who were helpful without being obtrusive. A well maintained, very friendly site where everyone seemed to be enjoying the peace and tranquility and even though it was half term week the kids were well behaved! The shower block was spotless and warm unlike some blocks! The surrounding area was wonderful, with lots to do and see. Our son thoroughly enjoyed the park and the dog walk with amazing views. Oh, and definitely not forgetting seeing the resident owl sitting in the tree watching the gathering of spectators at below! Can't wait to return!

Peacefull site

Just spent 3 nights on this site and loved it very peacefull and secluded. with usual CC facilities all very clean . only problem with location that if you have no car theirs no regular bus service for area but this would not prevent me from returning.Good walking area with lots of easy access walking routes and of course the Grafham Water itself which is very impressive with a good 10 mile circular walk or even cycle.....and finally the OWL

Neat site .

First time at this site just for a quick visit to friends in Cambridge while touring . We had a serviced pitch which was excellent . Facilities very good , wardens excellent too . Peaceful for us because we were away on the first day of the bank holiday . Access to the site is easy with just a short narrow final approach and a couple of easily negotiated narrow sections once off the A14 .Pubs with food in the area are expensive compared to our usual fare and also tend to be faux gastro .http://www.racehorsecatworth.co.uk/ is a pub restaurant to be recommended though . Mine host is a good bloke , parking is easy and it is not too far to drive .
