A great 2 weeks at the Gower

Just spent 2 weeks at the Gower for the first time and I have to say of all the good sites I have been on this has got to be my favourite, the wardens Paul Anne and other staff were so helpful, and nothing to much trouble, the toilets are always clean and the grassed areas are always tidy, Do not miss the site seeing around and about the Gower their is some stunning views, along with some very narrow roads to the beaches. We will be back again soon I hope

The Gem of the Gower Coast!

A very warm welcome awaits at the Gowerton Site. The staff are so very helpful and friendly and the site itself is absolutely spotless.    The location is such, that any of the wonderful beaches that abound in the area, are all within easy reach. For people wishing to visit Swansea or Llanelli, there are buses or Park and Ride facilities nearby. Thanks to all the staff for making our break a truly great one!

We are currently here right now and the sun is shining and although it's quite full it's very quiet. Yes Gowerton, I haven't been here for about 10 years but it's still a lovely site. The wardens are very friendly and helpful as previous reviewers have said, the toilet block is of the usual CC standard and if you bring man's best friend then they can go on the excellent dog walk or through a gate onto the park (which leads to Tesco). Gower, Swansea, Llanelli and Brecon Beacons are drivable as well. Yes there is a train line next door but you hardly notice. Extra plus marks; you can place an order for fish and chips at the office and they are delivered at 6, not pricey and quite tasty and also don't forget my favourite little spot which is a small mound just at the entrance which gives views over the estuary to Llanelli and the Gower...weather permitting. Minus points; can't think of any other than maybe it's a little way from the beach. We will be back within the next 10 years ??

Good site

We came here to meet friends and then tour together. friendly and helpful welcome and two pitches not too far apart made a good start. Facilities are good and very clean and they have a proper motorhome waste disposal point! Only downside is the narrow road and bridge on the way to and from the site, if you arrive around 5pm it will be very busy full of nutters seemingly using it as a rat run.

Wales 2015

Arrived at the Gowerton site and were welcomed by the friendly wardens, we drove round the spacious site and pitched the caravan near the truly amazing dog walk as we have a small dog. It is the best dog walk I have ever seen on any club site and i have been a member now for over 20 years! The peace and quiet of the beautiful site is something to behold and if you like walks there are lots of things to do on Gower and I strongly recomend a trip to the 'Big Pit' too. There is a railway that runs along the back but the trains are all passenger and they do not spoil the tranquility of the site.

very spacious site - pitch close to exit for quiet

I have stayed at probably 15 caravan club sites this year and this is one of the most spacious and never seems too 'busy'. It never feels crowded and a huge amount of space between pitches at the end I use. I am a bit of a regular as it is 10 minutes from a nearby school for the school run (I live 45 minutes drive away otherwise). The first time I pitched too close to the railway line and experienced some noise from the nearby A road, but you only make that mistake once as a 'regular'. On subsequent stays I have pitched the opposite end furthest away from the A road and railway line - pitches 70-90 seem fine and perfectly quiet enough, with loads of open neatly mowed and generally unoccupied grassland all around you. Very spacious. Also the Dog walk area is one of the best I have come across on a site, plus there are nearby dog walks including a country park along the estuary at Loughor (7 minutes drive via a shortcut over the narrow bridge - suitable for cars only, not outfits) and some cycle tracks to walk along. Oxwich Bay is 25 minutes drive away. Useful 'gateway to the Gower' site with all the Gower's amazing beaches.
