Super site for touring SW Wales
We chose this site as, with its position near the western end of the M4, it gave us access to that "magic carpet" for the long drive back home after our Welsh tour.
It's a great site in its own right, however, and the beautiful Gower, eastern Pembokeshire and the Brecon Beacons can all be visited during a shortish stay.
The site is flat, well laid out and with a goodly number of hardstandings. The one amenity block and annexe is very clean and more than copes with demand.
A key fob is necessary to operate the entry barrier and with this there is a key for two security gates that admit you to a large urban recreation ground. Walking through this, and a car park, takes you to a Tesco express and other Gowerton amenities beyond. The walk takes about 15 minutes.
It's true there is traffic noise (road and rail) but this is normally fairly light. And yes, traffic at peak hours can be heavy on local roads.
Overall, a very good site experience. I'd certainly come again.
