wrong Name,

in the last review I had a lapse of a senior moment in the review I stated that the Chief Warden was Steve and I must Alter this to Lionel I hope he won't be to upset being called Steve........   but with a lovely mix of French and Welsh Accent I obviously mistook his name,   how on earth could I have done such a thing         So  Sorry   Lionel,

more than just a caravansite

this place is more than a caravan site, we were booked in 14/04/16 but we broke down on the way, i phoned ahead to say we would be late and didnt know what time we would be arriving and was assured that they would welcome us in no matter what time, when we arrived on the back of the AA lorry they could not have been more helpful, the next morning we needed to go to Swansea to pick up a Courtesy car instead of allowing us to go by Taxi Steve offered to take us himself, now I call that over and above normal Warden's Service. On this Site.they bend over backwards to make sure you  have a good stay,  we will be returning to say thanks. to Steve and Chistine.and the other wardens.

What a great site

Booked here at the last minute as the site we were going to was flooded out, but so glad we did. The site is well maintained, quiet, the toilet facilities are spotlessly clean and the staff are very helpful. And the bonus was that the entrance is right on the Wales coastal path (which we are trying to walk the length of.... See www.walkiescleo.com for details) The tescos local is a fair trek but there are supermarkets nearby as well and both Swansea and Llanelli are an easy drive or cycle. Lovely fish and chips at the Roma bar in Pen-Clawdd as well. Will definitely be staying here again.

Great stay

Stayed for the second week of the Easter holidays. The staff at the site were very pleasant and helpful.Site facilities were maintained and cleaned very well. You do hear the railway and the road but it's not really that noticeable. The site is very easy to get to and there are shops nearby.Lots to see and do around Swansea and surrounding areas..A very enjoyable stay.. Thank you..

Easter break

We stayed for 1week after the Easter weekend. There had been some heavy rain prior to our arrival so the ground was very wet but it was still immaculate and we were asked to only use hard standing because of this which was fine as there was still a choice. We love the location of this site as it's easy to get to the Gower, Swansea and further west if you want to. The website warns of some road and rail noise which you can hear but it' didn't disturb us during the night. Anyone who wants to avoid this should choose a pitch away from the children's play area ( where the railway and road is) we would recommend this site to anyone.

Spring break

Have just spent a relaxing few days at this lovely site. Weather not great but wardens did all they could to ensure we were as comfortable as possible. Both very friendly and welcoming.tried the new fish & chip delivery , excellent. This site is well worth a visit.

Weekend visit

We came for a weekend because our son has recently moved to nearby Gorseinon and this site could not be more convenient. Despite being close to major roads and a railway line it is surprisingly quiet and restful. There is a background hum of a city but in one direction are views across marshland to the sea and the other way is screened by trees. It is very convenient for the Gower peninsula and striking westward to Carmarthenshire. The toilet block is spotless as usual but it is showing its age. Cubicles are small and sometimes one would wait for facilities to become free at busier times. It was though warm unlike Malvern where we had just come from.  It rained during our stay and the site roads had large puddles too deep to cross with ordinary shoes so wellies are essential in wet weather. This site, like many, suffers from inconsiderate members who flaunt the 5mph speed limit. Not sure what more can be done about it. A site worth visiting.

easter break

We have stayed at this site once before last summer, its a lovely site clean and tidy. You can park on any pitch you like we chose the same pitch as last time. If you don't fancy driving the bus stop is not far away just a short walk across the playing fields but if you fancy catching the train then its just a short car ride to the station. We were greeted by the very friendly owner who told us about the fish and chip nights and the local pubs, we will definitely be returning to this site. It is also lovely and quiet there is a small playground for the children but with Swansea not far away with lovely beaches and a very good swimming pool there is plenty to do, but if all you want to do is sit outside your caravan you can do so in peice and quiet.
