Gowerton

Had a very good week here. Very impressed with the site. The dog walk and the nearby shop facilities were much appreciated. The wardens were very efficient without being obtrusive. Pay attention to the warning about the Loughbor approach to the site as our Sat Nav took us there. The locals were very helpful I redirecting us.

Great site

Great site - very clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly & helpful - my son and I stay there for a long weekend as we were taking part in the Dragon cycle tour which was being held in Swansea and Margam park so this was a great place to come back to and relax after a long cycle.  I would highly recommend this site and will be back with my wife very soon

Wonderful Site

We had a superb stay at Gowerton the site was as always clean very tidy and a credit to the wardens and their assistants. It is always a very happy place to stay and we shall be returning at the soonest opportunity We took our 2 Labrador puppies with us in a caravan for the very first time and they had a great time. the enclosed sports field which we were allowed to use was a fantastic surprise meaning they could have a good run off lead and in safety once again Many thanks to the wardens

sunny half term break

As usual a good site with well maintained pitches, we mix seeing family with walking and enjoying the views and sights on the Gower. Do not understand why all the showers were not open the site was full and there were queues in the mornings or why there were still notices about work happening to the dog walk on May 16th.

Family Break

Nice site, very friendly staff, good hot showers, playing field adjacent excellent for exercising the dog. Easy to get to Mumbles, Three Cliffs Bay and other local attractions. Granddaughter loved the play area and made lots of friends.

Ideal for exploring without driving far.

Lovely site, perfect for touring around site seeing.  We live on a farm, so are used to peace and quiet, and the noise levels were nothing to moan about to us.  Great for dogs. Will certainly go back.

May half term break

Lovely well maintained site. Staff very friendly and helpful.  Site info says some noise from railway line but also traffic noise from some pitches.  Does not detract from overall peacefulness though.  A relaxing three nights. Thank you to all the wardens.

Stu&i

Beautiful site. Well maintained with very pleasant and helpful staff. Bank holiday weekend site was full but still gave the impression of space and calm. Tried the newly furnished Railway inn in Penclawdd, aprox 4/5 miles from site. Very modern and impressive. We didn't eat there but the meals served around us looked good. Will try it on our next visit.

Great spot

Gowerton was a fantastic site for touring around the Gower itself. The club site is peaceful and clean, and the dog walk seemed really popular (though we don't have a dog!) Pitches were roomy, but some are on grass and after recent rain, quite soft under foot. We had a hard stand and it was fine and quite level. Walks around the Gower are fantastic. The beaches are brilliant. Access to the site needs a bit of negotiating over a small bridge, and we followed the route avoiding low bridge to get through Gowerton itself. We might have made it, but its not worth the risk! Great eating places around - Porthouse in Loughor, local Harvester. Had fish and chips from the site too, and they were good (and small is quite a large portion!)  Hope to be back again sometime - definitely to be recommended.
