Another great visit

This is a great site regardless of whether you're couples or families. It's large site, can't deny that, split into two with really lovely wardens. It has almost direct access in the huge Ferry Meadows Country Park which offers, walking, cycling, bird watching, lakes, river and trees plus a couple of play areas and cafes. Similarly almost direct access to the platform for the steam trains which attracts a discount when you show your booking receipt. There's a walk to the Garden Centre (dogs not allowed in even in the outside areas) and a pub, which we didn't try. Buses can be caught a short walk away and once again almost direct access onto the walk/cycle way into Peterborough which is completely traffic free. Lovely cathedral and buttermarket as well as good shops including John Lewis. We have been before and will continue to use the site as our son has now moved to a nearby village.

Fantastic Site.

This has been our second visit this year, and once again a truly great break. The wardens are fantastic ,  the site is kept so tidy and clean, the shower blocks are fantastic. The walks, bike rides and train rides have kept us busy. A big thank you to all the wardens.

fantastic site.

Ferry Meadows is a lovely well-kept site. The wardens are friendly, welcoming and very helpful.  If you want a peaceful, relaxing time away, then this is the site you need to visit. DO NOT ORDER FROM THE FISH/CHIP VAN RUBBISH, I MEAN RUBBISH..SITE NEEDS TO COMPLAIN ABSOLUTE RIP OFF...

a very good site for familys

Just spent 4 days here weather has been brillant. everything spoltless as usual. Unfortunaley the east side had power cut for a few hours but the west side was not effected. The west side is probably best for familys good size play area and always fills more rural. Site and surrounding area good for bike rides nice and flat.Dont forget discount in the cafe and on the Nene Valley railway with your club cards

A Lovely Site

Ferry Meadows is a lovely well-kept site. The wardens are friendly, welcoming and very helpful. This was our 3rd visit to the site and defiantly will not be our last. As this site is situation in the Country Park it makes it ideal for walking and/or cycling. Peterborough is only 3 miles away, and you can get either by bike, walking or catch the steam train which is a short walk out of the site. Again only a short walk from the site is a pub, a bit on the expensive side, but nice all the same and overlooks the local golf course. If you want a peaceful, relaxing time away, then this is the site you need to visit.

Great Site

We recently stayed on this site for a 4 day break. We had a great time easy access into the country park with good walks. You can download the Nene valley country park app which gives you 4 various length walks to choose from to incorporate the local villages. Pubs within walking and driving distance, we went to the cuckoo very busy booking is advisable at weekends. Lots of wildlife to be seen. Peterborough cathedral nice to see no entrance fee but charge £3 for you to take photos. Wardens friendly and helpful.  Some fellow caravanners with dogs on extendable leashes a nuisance allowing dogs to roam and do their business on other peoples pitches. Fair play to wardens complaints dealt with speedily. Clean and tidy toilet block. Do lock up your bikes thefts do occur indeed a couple had their bikes stolen while we were there. Would recommend a visit.

Sparkling Facilities

Only our second Caravan Club site stay but we were really  impressed by the cleanliness and functionality of the facilities. The local surroundings are a large park with little traffic. A lovely walk to the very friendly local Pub the Woodman past a lake and only a very small length of busy road. Would stay again.

great

Stayed at this site for the bank holiday weekend, also 2 weeks ago when visited the motorhome show. All the staff i spoke with were very friendly and smiley.  We stayed on pitch No. 139 and 150, very spacious with all facilities near by.  Considering the size of the site i found the shower blocks alway empty or very quiet. All facilities are kept very clean.  police visited the site to advise people to keep their bikes inside their vehicles overnight as thier is a lot of bike theft in the area and they were at risk of being stolen.  Lots to do at Nene Valley park and you can take the steam train into Peterborough. Overall a great site with great staff and facilities. We shall return.

Dog Fouling

We have just spent five days on this site, and it is a credit to the club. What bugged me was on friday morning as we where getting ready to leave,I watched two wardens going round picking up dog mess that dog owners had left and this was next to the childrens play area.I think if they are identified they should be thrown out of the club.

Converted the in laws.

Just returned from a very enjoyable stay at Ferry Meadows. We took along our brother and sister in law, who had never experienced camping of any sort ever. Needless to say they were delighted at the very friendly and helpful manner of the wardens. They were gobsmacked at the cleanliness and comfort of the toilet block, they loved the site, and chatting to all who passed by. The park just down the road was used every day, we even used the steam railway. They are truly converted and can't wait for us to take them out again. Thank you to all at Ferry Meadows for making their stay so good.
