Home away from Home
We've been touring for 5 weeks around the UK, staying mainly in Club sites and have had 3 separate stays at Fairlight. Whilst all the club sites and wardens have been very good, the Fairlight site and the wardens Sue and John are in a class on their own.
The site is smallish but well laid out, with good privacy between most pitches and an easy walk to the facilities. Plenty of service points and a spotlessly clean and modern toilet block. A short walk thru the woods is a lovely Pub with good food and beer and well priced. The only downside is the last 800m drive into the site is on a single track lane. We had no problems, but it is narrow. Also take care NOT to turn right leaving the site (or to approach from that side) as its 2 miles of single track with no passing bays. We are now in Europe for 6 months, but will definately return to Fairlight if the opportunity arises.
