Very good access to the site from the A1,but this contributed to the road noise. The wardens were very helpful in putting us in a sheltered spot as it was very,very windy, whereas the trees sheltered us from the wind,they made a lot of noise, which kept us awake although you can't blame anybody for the weather. Access to Durham is excellent as there is a Park and Ride only a 5 minute drive away. Also went to Seaham which has a good beach for dogs.Speaking of dogs,it seemed a little strange that you had to keep your dog on a lead on the dog walk! However,great site will be back.
