Visited this site for the 1st time in September-wow! What a lovely peaceful site this is. The pitches are well laid out in small areas, so you never feel crowded, and it doesn't feel like a big site. The toilet block is up to the usual standards of cleanliness, although the water pressure is a bit on the low side!! The dog walk is lovely, and lots of trees for shade in the warmer weather. We had no children with us, but the play area looked good. Loads to see and do in the area, and beautiful scenery, including lovely views from the site. We didn't get to do all we wanted to, so will just have to go back next year! Sad to see 2 very negative comments in the visitor's book-(totally untrue in our opinion), and anonymous too. If you feel so strongly about something-have the courage of your convictions and put your name to it-don't be a coward!
A very peaceful site.
We spent 4 nights here , pitches are good, you do need levelling blocks, the facilities are well kept but could do with a refit. I think this must be one of the older Caravan Club sites. Wardens are very friendly and the area beautiful.
Long Weekend
We booked this site as it was quite central to the area that we wished to visit and pitch cost was reasonable compared to many in the area (non CC)
The site was busy (mid Sept) but was very quiet and peaceful.
Facilities were good, with several service points and at least one 'drive over' grey water disposal point for our camper.
Toilets and showers were excellent although water pressure seemed a little low.
Staff were pleasant and helpful
Fantastic location
We recently stayed here for 8 nights. We were given a very warm welcome by the warden.
The site is very well kept and clean, the wardens are very friendy some of the nicest we have come across. The site is in a great location for travelling around north Wales. If you go on the steam trains don't forget to ask for your discount as a caravan club member ( something that we were not aware of at the time we booked the trains). We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitley be returning soon.

5 Day Holiday
This is a lovely site in a lovely area with lots to see and do. Site well looked after by friendly and helpful wardens. The one suggestion I would make is that the one way system is the wrong way round and when going out with the caravan you have to go up quite a steep hill and then turn across the entrance to go out.

September Sunshine
Sarah and her team keep the site and facilities in immaculate condition - furthermore, they achieve this almost invisibly and cause no disruption to the peace & aggreable ambience of the site. Only stayed five nights - would have stayed longer, but had to move on to another pre-booked location during our 22 night Autumn Tour of Wales.
A great place to be
If you are looking to visit Snowdonia and North Wales, there really is no better place to select as your base. The staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient. The site is well organised and laid out offering a choice of pitches in either open or secluded spaces.
Perhaps best of all, at least for ageing anoraks, is the distant sound of the steam train whistle as the local narrow gauge railway climbs its way up to Blaenau Ffestiniog - magic!

first timers
This was our first time at this site, we were not disappointed. Friendly, very helpful and pleasant staff, well kept clean site. Well placed site for accessing walking cycling routes directly from the site as well as Snowdonia national park, we visited lots of places in Wales that we hadn't been to for many years. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at this site, well worth a visit.
Outstanding!
This was our second stay and we arrived for our booked 6 nights, remembered how much we loved it and immediately booked an extra couple of nights! The site is everything we remembered; well laid out, well kept, lovely scenery and a great location. We were in pitch 34 (this and 35 are our favourite pitches on the site) which overlooks rolling sheep-fields. We saw plenty of wildlife including some very enertaining squirrels!
In addition the wardens were outstanding, friendly, helpful and engaging. They were having a nature day and recognising that our 13 year old was probably too old to join in the art and craft, asked her if she would like to help. Suffice to say that despite all the fun things we did on holiday, this was definitely our daughter's favourite and we will be back!

Lovely site
This really is a lovely site and agree with the comments in the reviews made by members. Just returned from a four night stay and for us the highlights were the peace and tranquility, cleanliness, layout, generous pitches and location. The facilities were well kept and clean, hot water in the showers but not very powerful. Overall a very pleasant stay.
