Lovely site

Very good location with great local walks , and very easy to drive to some great nearby countryside and coast. One strange thing is the hum from the electric cables distribution grid about a mile away at Lynn Traws at night. Wasn't to bad but caused problem to my hearing aids :-)

peace and quiet

We stayed here at the end of seprember, booked for 2 nights but stayed 5. Weather glorious ! there were plenty of walks nearby and cycle routes. Tv reception was better on the higher levels. Very clean facilities, only one toilet/shower block but ample for time of year. Site is very well kept. We had 2 cats with us who loved the area and enjoyed their walks round the site.  we ran out of milk and as the onsite shop had also run out, the nearest shop was about 3 miles away. we went to the abandoned dlate mine settlement at Cwmorthin which was an interesting day out. I am sure we will go back.

Fantastic

Stayed 3rd week September and were really lucky with the weather.  That said it was a very pretty and pleasant site.  It wasn't regimented and there was plenty of space.  No complaints about the facilities either. Situation was excellent in terms of access to high mountains, coast, narrow gauge railways, sea side and beaches, castles galore, stunning views, cycle path almost from site and loads of walks of all levels of difficulty.  The cafe at Trawsfynydd lake does a lovely cup of tea and slice of bara brith at a truly low price.  Finally I would say that Zip World at Blaenau Ffestiniog is a must.  The views and exhilaration from the journey on the zip wire are not to be missed.  We will be back.  NB the dog thought the dog walk, although small, was paradise.  Not everywhere has long grass and a stream to paddle in!

Great site for touring NW Wales.

This was the second site we stayed at during our Welsh tour this year. It was mid September, but the site was quite busy at the weekend, so we were glad we had pre-booked before moving on from Corwen. The site has an intriguing number of levels which allow for smallish groupings of pitches. Tree planting adds to the secluded character. The directions are good and the site is easily reached from the A road. There is one amenity block and an annexe which is kept spic and span and copes with demand more than adequately. Western Snowdonia, the LLeyn Peninsular, and Portmeirion are virtually on the doorstep. I'd certainly come again.

One to come back to

This is a lovely, peaceful site with views of the mountains from some of the pitches, and walks down to the nearby lake. Sadly we hit some Welsh weather the night we stayed so did not see the site at its best, though the clouds rolling down the hills looked lovely. In spite of the rain we saw a number of small birds on the site, including a nuthatch, which was quite a treat for us. The facilities were up to the usual club standard, the staff friendly, and I guess we'll just have to return in better weather to give it a fair trial.

Retirement holiday

We booked in initially for one week, intending to move on. We found the site really relaxing and there was so much to do in the area that we stayed our whole holiday, almost three weeks. The staff were very friendly and helpful; the site was well managed and the toilet block kept very clean. We also heard the barking dog, though did not find it disturbing in the night time. The dog walk is one of the nicest I have seen, the slate pathway meaning it can still be used after rain. A very few people did not pick up after their dogs despite the clear signs and provision of dog bins.  This was a special holiday to celebrate my retirement and it was brilliant. A lovely site in a beautiful area.  Definitely recommend.

Good site in lovely surroudings

Lovely site, very clean and well looked after with friendly wardens. The peace and quiet was rather spoilt by barking dogs at night. We are finding this an increasing problem at various sites.

Lovely site

The site is well laid out and the showèr blocks were very clean.  The water pressure was low and I think they should have signs reminding people to mop after using the showers as several don't!  A security barrier would be a good idea as a car was wrecked during our stay in the clubhouse over the road.  Beautiful area and we would return.  One other thing to note TV reception poor in the area we were in and we had to result to our old aerial on a pole.  Ensure you use the directions the park supplies as you may struggle with large outfits.

Autumn trip

A lovely little site, pitches mainly hardstanding in small bays, The toilet block was spotlessly clean, as was the site, the wardens worked very hard I agree the water pressure was a little low in the showers. Dog walk very good, well set out. Lots to do in the area, we enjoyed our stay.
