Still my Favourite UK site

Clumber Park CC Site never lets me down, I love this place. We have stayed many times at all times of year and just having come back from a very busy bank holiday weekend at the site, I am still delighted. Despite not having the pick of our favourite pitches as we didn't arrive until Friday and the site was already pretty full, we were happy enough, we expected it to be full. The biggest draw here is the fact the kids have an absolute ball, they are out playing from dawn until dusk and regularly meet up with other kids they have met there before. Cycling from the park is great, lots of paths / trails to choose from. Facilities are always clean, wardens friendly and helpful. Can't wait to return again soon!

Wooded Bliss

We love Clumber Park. We've been many times and always enjoy it. We sadly lost our best friend Basil (the springer) in March - he was 17 and had a lovely life. He loved it in the woods at Clumber and we missed him on this trip. He's chasing rabbits somewhere..?? I know it's a busy site, but I wish campers would respect other folk's personal space. Unfortunately not much choice of pitches when we arrived. We were behind the toilet block which was fine - but lost count of the many people who traipsed right across our pitch to get to the loo. To be fair there is a well worn path ! Maybe some sort of hedging could help ? Anyway moan over. Lesson learnt- we'll be back ! Brilliant site and Fish n chips from the van Fri tea were brilliant. Tugboat??

Lovely site.

This site is a dream for dogs. The problems are the cleaning of the toilets mid morning which is not very good as there are lots of people on site at this time of year. If you are disabled as I am it is a long walk to the far toilet block. the place is very clean and the wardens are lovely. Would use this site again.

Felt uneasy

just stayed at clumber park for a few days, very pretty reception area. Around 5pm that same day a police patrol car toured the site, I thought that a was very unusual, later the same evening a security guard started patrolling the site. By this time I was wondering what what was wrong here? The the next I day I noticed signs warning of thieves, as you can imagine I felt a little uneasy. For the rest of our stay we felt it nessary to Lock up things we would of left outside all night. The site its self is large surrounded by trees. lots of walks an bike rides in the surrounding woods, the remains of clumber park house about an hours walk away. cafe and gift shops as well as a large lake. Never had any contact with the wardens outside of the office. Don't think I would stay there again unless as this time everywhere else was fully booked.

not for me

very disapointed, exceptionally noisy site even allowing for school holidays. toilet blocks closed for cleaning mid morning, surely the time to clean the toilets would be early afternoon.

Our favourite site

Clumber park is a lovely site with everything we need for a perfect caravan holiday. We have lost track of how many times we have stayed because we have stayed 3 or 4 times a year since we discovered it about 7 years ago. There are so many forest walks and places to picnic we are spoilt for choice. The bike tracks are really good and so many of them. The bike hire shop very useful and i even hired a mobility scooter from there. The lake, cafe and surrounding area is lovely in all weather. We have 2 dogs who love walking in the woods and recently have been taking our 5 year old grandaughter who loves the playpark on site. All wardens friendly .Overall we give Clumber park caravan site 10/10 and cant wait to go back.

Lovely Location

Been to this site twice now both times with our granddaughters. It's great for children, lovely play area and great for getting into Clumber Park itself for walking or cycling. The down side is not having a mobile signal or wifi. It's difficult to keep in touch with the childrens parents. We have paid for a years subscription for wifi and this is not the first site we have not been able to use it. So we feel we are paying for something that is not fit for purpose! Looking through the comment book this seems to upset a lot of people.

Good family site

Almost level site with a good choice of grass or hardstanding pitches. Enough trees and bushes on site to provide a varied environment, together with a good play area makes it a great place to take children. Also, many attractions within a short drive add to the value of the venue.

Second stay

We love this site, but would not go in a school holiday again, far to many screaming kids for us and they seemed unable to flush a toilet. But still love this site and will be making this a yearly stop off for us. Staff and wardens very friendly.
