This was the first club site we visited when we first started caravaning. We have changed our caravan now and visited here again as it is near to our home (15mins)A very peacefull site but the only down side is the phone signal and the Internet service. I think in the year 2016 this should be put to rights for the purpose of contact with family emergencies.Â
Cheeky Weekend
Lovely site a real home from home for us always go October but managed an extra weekend in September to relax and as always site didn't disappoint. Really good to be able to just chill at the van or go for plenty of walks without moving the car. Wardens were really friendly and we were able to have a laugh with them. Shame though that some people who stay feel they need to take the plugs out of the wash up sinks! Otherwise facilities all clean and to the standard we expect from Caravan Club sites.
Site - excellent / Club HQ - very poor
Still NO WIFI!
It was advertised in the March or April Club magazine 'Wifi will be .. (Working) .. by the summer'
The National sites manager had assured me at the NEC in February, it was all sorted and would be installed and up and running by the summer .. Good on promises not so good on delivery!Â
The site staff do their bit to ensure all members have a good experience and I bet HQ are pretty quick to pounce on them for adverse reviews, well HQ it's time you did your bit. You have been neglecting this issue for long enough!!Â
September Holiday
We stayed here 1 night as part of our 2 week holiday, we had visited family nearby so this was a stop-off on our way South (more family visits). I wished we had stayed longer. The site is probably my favourite although there are no shops or pubs within walking distance. The access to the park trails, walking and cycling make the site. Lots of active things for families - so perhaps midweek or avoid school holidays if you don't like children around. We found a quieter spot with access into the park - excellent for dog walks. We also had good weather which helps. Easy to find and good access. Wardens helpful and advised about bike storage, which we didn't need but others might find useful. Will definitely stay again when visiting nearby
Repeat visitor
The site is only 20 miles from our house but is one of our favorites, especially during term time when it is very peaceful. the one down side for the last few visits is the lack of Wi-Fi. not having any mobile phone signal is a blessing but without Wi-Fi we cannot communicate with friends and family when they are visiting.

Great site
Just had a long weekend at this site,we took our bikes and we loved it.we parked the car up Friday lunch time and didn't use it again till Monday morning to go home,we did take all the food we needed as no shop close by,but we were on our bikes every day on the cycle routes, they have maps at reception for 50p, well worth.will def go back again.
Recent stay
An excellent site with good staff and facilities. Too busy at the weekends so will aim to visit during the week next time.
1st time out with new caravan
Have only just started caravanning again, (1st time in 11 years), but loved every minute of it in our new caravan, despite the teething problems we had with it. Clumber Park is perfect for peace and quiet, walking and the best fish and chips I have had in a long while. Go early to the chip van or you will have to queue for ages as it is very popular. Downside of site is the fact there are no pubs or shops in walking distance, otherwise perfect.
First time on a cc site
Lovely site in a top setting. Friendly wardens and all staff. CC members were all friendly too. Great weekend had by all. I enjoyed no phone signal, wifi etc. Actually chatted to my wife instead.

Barking Dogs
This is a great site in a fantastic location.
Two things spoilt it.
During the week this being a big site it was quite, however the weekend brought the dog owners who can't or won't keep them quite. The is no phone signal however just off site there is ( come on CC install a mast). Wi fi rubbish
The toilets are starting to look tired.
