Quiet Break Away.

Peaceful and tidy site. Easy walk through the park to Cirencester town. Lot's to visit locally. Another enjoyable stay with improving weather.

Lovely few days break - we'll be back in the Summer!

Spent last few days here and was pleasantly surprised! Excellent location with 20min walk into town either via road/footpath or via adjoining park (restricted opening times). Grass pitches closed for winter but look as if they would be great in Summer. We pitched in 'lower' area of park and the hardstandings are very small. Can't park car alongside 'van even without an awning! Other pitches nearer toilet block are more of a 'normal' size!! That is only negative point though, although would also recommend care on approaching site as it is just beyond local Cirencester College and this narrow road can get busy. Not a problem, just go slowly! Excellent wardens, and Cirencester is blessed with good pubs, restaurants shops and supermarkets, so would recommend site for both caravans and motorhomes. Good site for dog lovers as good walks in the park nearby. We don't have a dog, but most people here seem to!!  Would definitely recommend site to anyone and good play area for children in the hols.

Weekend break

Clean and welcoming site. Lovely walk into Cirencester. The only disappointment was the mobile fish and chip van on Friday night, not the sites fault but the food the van sold to us that night was not good. Would definitely return to the site.

Midweek break in Cirencester

Pleasant welcome on arrival after rather scruffy access road to site. Although only one toilet block was open, the quality and cleanliness of this was good. We were sited near a water and waste point but for some reason this did not include a chemical disposal point and there were no waste bins, both were only available adjacent to the main toilet block. The access to town on a short and pleasant walk was excellent via the adjacent park and drive. We would certainly use the site again and with better weather could enjoy even more of the beautiful surrounding countryside. The Rococo gardens near Painswick are well worth a visit.

Not a site we would have normally visited but what a delight

We stayed at this site 9 to 11 March 2016 because we had bought a little car to tow behind our motorhome and the A frame was being fitted near Gloucester so this site was ideal to stay at while the car was being dealt with. We wouldn't normally have considered staying at this site as for us it is a bit too close to home as we only live just over an hour's drive from it but we are so glad we had the chance to enjoy it. It is in a lovely quiet setting on the edge of a park. They have an exercise field for dogs which is nice to have, a huge field for children to play in and also a nice climbing area. It is a very large site with over 200 pitches but you wouldn't believe there are so many pitches there. Okay it was March and mid week but the site was a good half full, but its the layout that doesn't make it seem so big. The walk to Cirencester is lovely too. The staff are kind and friendly. Our only moan is that from the pitch we had to get to the motorhome service point we had to go out of the site and come back in due to the one way system, otherwise a brilliant site. Apologies for red line. Don't know what Ive hit but I cant get rid of it.

New Year break

Decide to take the van away at new year for the first. Chose Cirencester because of its location close to the town. Easy walking distance.  On arrival we were made most welcome even invited to join the staff to welcome the new year with them.  Despite the wet weather making the grassed areas more or less water logged the toilet block was always clean all day.  Thoroughly enjoyed the 3 nights we spent there and would recommend it as a base for exploring the Cotswolds.

A lovely site near a lovely town

We learned of this site earlier this year following a friend’s recommendation. This was our third visit to this site and we have just spent 16 nights there. It was our first ever Christmas and New Year experience in a Caravan and it was a wonderful experience. Having seen the site at its best in the late summer months, it was sad to see the damage caused to the grass by Motorhome and Caravan tyres. Hopefully, this will be resolved by mother nature (or the Wardens) in the coming months? Access into Cirencester from the site is a very pleasant walk which is easily done in 15 minutes although in December, as is to be expected, the ground was very muddy in places. One or two of the pitches seemed a bit on the small side and the access road to the site is poor but has been improved. The site is extremely popular with owners of dogs.

Great location but a bit of a squeeze

Returned to this site over new year having stayed here 4 years ago at a different time of the year. Last time we stayed on a lovely large grass pitch but this time stayed on a hard standing which to be honest was anything but spacious, difficult to get car on pitch without causing some damage to surrounding grass. Some of the roads are also narrow which makes it very difficult to manoeuvre onto a pitch without a motor mover or driving over grass which caused considerable damage because of very wet weather. Nevertheless great location, usual CC high quality facilities well maintained, friendly wardens and walkable into the very nice town of Cirencester. Well worth a visit

Excellent site but!

Excellent site ideally located for Cirencester. But a lot of hard standings are narrow for caravan car awning combinations, in winter this causes damage to grass and affects appearance of site. Everyone else great!
