Unbearable Noise from Rock Concert

Just returned from a 3 night break at Cirencester. We booked for a "quiet relaxing weekend", but got the complete opposite. A 3 day (Fri to Sun) rock concert event was taking place on the adjoining land where the music (if you can call it music) got louder and louder each evening finishing at 11.00 pm on Fri & Sat and 9.40pm on the Sun. This totally ruined our weekend break. The wardens said that they had no prior knowledge of the rock concert and could do nothing about it. I don't accept that the Caravan Club did not known about it, as the event organisers would have had to apply for a license to hold the event. The Caravan Club should have put a warning on it's website page for this site. I object to paying £26 per night to be subjected to such awful noise and consider that a goodwill gesture should be considered by the Caravan Club. Otherwise a good well maintained site with easy access to this lovely town. We may return again on a quieter occasion.

2nd Visit

The site is in the perfect location for all the Cotswolds area. Great access to walk down in Cirenecester and leave the car. The site was immaculate to such an extent that, if a pitch becomes a little worn after a long stay, they remove the pitch marker to allow it to recover. Toilets were immaculate. Our Aunt came to Cirencester to join us in the area and found a fantastic Air B & B and after a couple of Barbecue evenings the local taxi came straight to the site. Three supermarkets (Waitrose, Tesco & Lidl) within a mile or so.

Can't drag wife and grandkids to other sites ....

... we are relatively new to all this having purchased a motorhome at retirement a couple of years ago. We live in North Oxfordshire so Cirencester is very local to us - we have tried a few sites but this one has everything we and the grandkids want - and our 2 cockapoos love it! I notice a few people comment about the dogs and children attracted to the site, and of of course we sympathise - but there is nothing more reassuring when you have pitched and hear the first screech from someone else's little darling, or the first howl from someone else's hound - we can then relax and don't have to be on tenterhooks throughout our visit! The only problem we have is that Cirencester Park is such a no-brainer for us that we haven't managed to travel any great distance yet - we really must put some miles on the clock!! Just a couple of points on the downside (just to prove this is a balanced review!) - (1) Please remember to park as instructed, with the peg on your rear right corner - a small number of people treat this as the "middle point" of their pitch which just eats into the space available to their neighbours! and (2) Adult cyclists who treat the site roads as a race track should note that the speed limit applies to them as well as vehicles! All in all though, a marvellous site, clean, well managed, friendly and a great location. Back again next week!!

First time

This was our first visit to this site. Have stayed many times in the Cotswolds and visited Cirencester. Think this will be our preferred site, great being able to walk into town, lovely shops, cafe's, pubs etc. The site is great, a big site but doesn't feel like it as its well laid out, clean, well maintained by an excellent team, all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay. As they say we will be back. PS the weather helped :-)

Still as good

We have been here several times and we have always enjoyed our time spent there. The access road to the site is still in poor condition despite some recent improvements. The site itself is always well maintained by the dedicated team of wardens who do an amazing job in keeping the place looking beautiful. During this stay (early July) both toilet blocks were open which is really appreciated. The visiting Pizza Alfresco on Thursday evenings is wonderful, much tastier than the big name operators and well worth a try. The site is extremely popular with owners of dogs and not all of the owners adhere to the club rules. Access into Cirencester from the site is a very pleasant walk through the Bathurst Park which is easily done in 15 to 20 minutes. If you don’t fancy the walk back, a Taxi costs only £5 or thereabouts. We are looking forward to returning to the site later in the year.

A site well worth a visit

A first class site with the friendliest of staff, and extremely well maintained. Only slight reservation is that perhaps in future there may come a time when a max number of dogs per outfit will be required. We are dog lovers, but within fairly close proximity were 4 outfits, 3 with 4 dogs, and 1 with three. purely an observation, NOT A COMPLAINT.

great site

We arrived at this well looked after site . We  were two familys with two carvans . Managed to get to pitches together not too far from Toilet block ,which was handy as 3 out 4 of us is disabled .The site is well located and had 6 glorious days here . Only thing that rather spoiled things was a Victor Meldrew type who got vocal because our dogs got excited when we got there. No complaints from anyone else ,but who goes to a dog friendly site if they don't like dogs. But every thing was fine after the first hour and no more complaints .As victor was busy with the wine bottles. Lots of nice friendly people on site ,all willing to chat . Wardens were great and very helpful . We will be making this a regular stopping place . We had very good fish and chips from the visiting Van. Can not recommend this site more highly . Enjoy your stay if you visit.

Another great visit

This site never fails to give a great stay. It's location means that you can leave the car on site and walk into Cirencester through the Bathurst estate. The wardens always greet you with a warm smile and are very polite. The facilities are always immaculate and the site itself is spotless. You have a wide selection of pitch types but this site does get full quickly so need to be there at 12 to get best choice available. Within a couple of miles there are 3 large supermarkets to choose from. The lovely villages of the Cotswolds are only a short drive away. This was our 4th visit and are looking forward to our 5th

Brilliant site

Stayed for two nights on this site last weekend. What an excellent site! Brilliant baby and toddler room which was much appreciated by my four month old daughter. We will be back.
