Autumn Colour

Our first visit to this site and it won't be the last. Easy to find and close to main roads. Don't worry about the approach road - just take it steady. It is located next to Cirencester College which has some large buildings which worried us at first but these were not an issue at all. The site has lots of trees and so it was wonderful to see the leaves and colours of autumn. Toilet block was modern and (as always) spotless. Wardens gave us a warm welcome and advice on pitches. The level walk from the site through Bathurst Park to Cirencester was lovely - wonderful views of the church framed by lots of trees. Cirencester is an interesting town with plenty of shops and eateries. Our local trips included - Westonbirt Arboretum which had a spectacular display of autumn leaves and is a must; Tetbury and Chedworth Roman Villa (mosaics). You could spend £000's going to New England in the Fall or Rome and we have wonderful things like this on the doorstep of a great Club site. Fish and chip van on Tue/Sat was very good and is recommended. Two friends visited us for a couple of nights and on seeing the high standard of the Club sites have decided to join when they collect their new motor home next year.

Approach road to site in extremely poor state of repair, guess not belong to Club. But am sure a lorry load of gravel would not cripple Clubs coffers. Lovely walk through park into Cirencester which is full of interest. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday but for the potholes on approach and exit. Will visit again sometime in the future.

Roger and Ruth Smith

Not the first of our weekend stays since only about 16 miles from home. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as usual.

Superb site

The site is constantly worked on by the staff and is a credit to them. The toilets are always immaculate. The approach road is quite OK if taken sensibly - anyone who is exercised by the condition of the road needs a lot longer at the site to chill out! Take it easy and it presents no problems. Go like a bat out of hell...yes it is bumpy at speed - why speed?

Bumpy road5

My husband and I had a brilliant 5nights at this site last week. We were concerned about the access to the site after reading the reviews beforehand. What road did the other reviewers use because we were expecting the worst and only saw one pot hole. The greeting from the staff on arrival was warm and friendly and professional. The site is very well kept and this time I used the dog walking area with our puppy. Brilliant enclosed space for letting him off the lead. The toilet and shower rooms were extremely clean and well maintained. The access to the park for walking into Cirencester was good and it's a lovely walk.dogs can be let of the lead in there. All in all a brilliant time was had by all and looking forward to going for Christmas . Big supermarkets in close proximity to the site by car. I really don't have anything negative to say. Well done a credit to the caravan club.

Great Location

Had a very pleasant 5 day stay on this site. Everything was perfect. Friendly helpful wardens, sensible loo cleaning times, makes a nice change to lie in without worrying about closing time! The entrance road is not that bad, just expect to run into a student or two concentrating on their mobiles. The Bathurst estate is beautiful and its free to walk around just about everywhere. We will be back, lots more to explore!

Lovely stay and location

Our first time to the site. Wardens were friendly and informative with a good sense of humour. The site is well maintained and facilities clean to a a high standard. Also like the fact you can control the temperature in the showers. The area is lovely with plenty of walks for the dog in the Bathhurst estate as well as the fields surrounding the site. A short walk into town and many dog friendly pubs. Cotswold water park is a short drive away with plenty of activities for everyone. The approach road which many mention is not as bad as I expected, there are pot holes but no more than any country lane. We struggled to level the caravan on the pitch, looking at most pitches people had extended legs or levellers and should be noted to take some with you but this didnt deter or detract from the enjoyment of this site, we will be back.

Great location.

Recent review mentions lots of noise at this site, I have got good hearing and was not bothered by noise at all. Good long walks in the park or around the town. Good facilities, however I do have an issue with the members that leave the hose used to fill motorhomes down the waste water drain!! Have they not heard about cross contamination of water supply?? Also the heavy covers to the drains that have to be lifted before draining motorhome waste water tank! I'm sure someone must have done their back in trying to lift them and has anyone put a wheel down one yet? Why not have a strong metal grill over the drain point that can be driven over without removal. Then it does not matter what side the vehicle drain is located. Poor design in my view. Having said the above the site is well kept and friendly wardens.

I am greatful to the wardens and the person who found my wedding ring lost on a previous visit. Again the site was spotless and the staff very helpful definitely will be returning.
