Great stay

We cannot fault this site. Stayed for a week just after Easter. Very helpful and friendly wardens for whom nothing was too much trouble so a big thank you to them. Immaculate facilities. Good choice of pitches and plenty of room for awning and car. Problems of access road overstated: just take it slowly and anyway some of potholes seemed to have been filled in. We sampled the excellent pizzas on Thursday. Plenty to do in the area and easy walking access to Cirencester through the very attractive park.

Easter 2017

We have visited this site for many years in fact this was one of the first sites we used when we first started caravaning, this time our welcome on arrival was not the normal welcome we would expect, the lady warden was very helpful regarding instructions on pitching etc, the wardens last year appear to be moved on and a different set were there. Facilities clean and tidy. We use this site as a base for fishing in the Cotswolds lechlade and Salford are good fishing lakes, possibly next year we will visit a different site at Easter which is more welcoming eg Burford.

Another Excellent Break

We enjoyed another lovely break at this site over Easter, all site staff were pleasant and helpful as per our previous stays. The only think we would criticise, is the entrance road, which is in drastic need of resurfacing due to numerous pot holes. All of the Club Members along with ourselves, spend a huge amount of money on the overall Car & Caravan outfits along with the Motorhome owners. The access road needs to be navigated with care to avoid any undue damage. If this was sorted, it would increase the enjoyment of the stay even more. However, it will not deter us from booking again

Great Site

This really is a very good site. It is a large site which was quite full but was still very peaceful and very clean. The toilets and showers are plentiful and kept very clean, The access to Cirencester (through Cirencester Park) means you do not have to walk down and main roads - which is wonderful. Cirencester itself is quite interesting with some lovely old buildings. You must also try Heathers Cafe for her cakes! Our only negative was that the adjacent Cirencester Park is a bit restrictive. You have to leave by 5:00 pm and there are large areas where you are not allowed to take your dogs. There are also quite a few rules associated with the Park (which is after all a private estate).

First visit but not the last we hope!

Easy to find as just off the ring road. No trouble on the access road although cars parked just after the turn from the main road could be a problem if you meet a caravan as you come and go. Lovely open and leafy site and we chose a grass pitch at the top of the site which was a quiet and peaceful location. Facilities very clean and never under pressure during our stay. We enjoyed a tasty meal from the burger van an addition to the already established fish and chip and pizza outlets. Cirencester is an easy walk away with supermarkets, shops, pubs and restaurants on hand. Plenty to see in the area and we particularly enjoyed our visit to Weston birt Arbouretum. Great site with friendly, helpful wardens. Will certainly visit again.

Another brilliant break away

We stayed at Cirencester again this year over the Easter break. The site wardens and assistants are approachable polite and helpful. The amenities and grounds are kept clean and pleasant, no mean feat on a site with over 200 pitches. It was great to see the addition of a well thought out dog wash . . . Very useful when dogs come back from a walk in a muddy state. The site is a great base for touring the beautiful Cotswolds and we shall certainly return as it's one of our favourite parts of the country. Our thanks to the Cirencester Team for making our stay a very pleasant one.

After two first rate sites in previous days this w

A poor site for dogs - a long walk to the dog walking area and oversized mesh on the stock fencing meant that even medium sized dogs could get through it - there was a warning notice to this effect but it might have been better to change the fence. Very small, basic pitches - we were told to park the car along the front of the caravan. Not ideal and would have spoiled the view if it had been a good one. Quite a lot of noise from students as they walked to and from the very large college adjacent to the entrance to the site. Dreadful potholes in the approach road. Half the site was closed off because there had been a lot of rain in previous weeks. One of the two toilet blocks was closed. Sorry, but not a site we shall return to

best site visit - so far

This is a very relaxed site, both location and wardens add to the relaxed nature. The wardens are very helpful and add to the pleasant atmosphere. The site is perfectly maintained and it's location could not be better. Only a ten minute walk into the town centre either by the main footpath /cycle route or via cutting through the Bathhurst Estate. The site has weekly visits fro a fish and chip van and a wood fired stone baked pizza specialist, who appears very popular with campers. Cirencester is a great little town with plenty to see and do. They seem proud of their history and blue plaques give historical information about the buildings and its past residents. There are numerous walks and cycle rides. We did route 5 from the information site guides and this took in some great views through lovely villages. This route will be suitable for regular cyclist mid teen and above on quite roads. The town also has a leisure centre, loads of eateries and coffee houses and traditional pubs. Dogs have masses of land to run free, as do kids. The site was reasonably full catering for campers of all ages, but never excessive noise. Hot air balloons even floated over and landed in the adjacent college grounds. Worth more than a fleeting visit. Top site.

Easter weekend April'17

Used this site for the first time, mainly to visit lower in the Cotswolds and to cycle/visit Bibury. The site is easy to find on the edge of town ;located in Bathurst estate park & therefore an easy walk downhill into Cirencester or thru the park itself. Cycling round the local area is relatively easy & friendly and stopping off in the town for a Beer/coffee was good before cycling less than a mile back uphill to the site. Cirencester is a lovely old town. Good information hut & helpful wardens. Bearing in mind this is a large 212 pitch site with 2 toilet blocks- We went in Easter when it was fully booked but had no problems queuing for facilities. Would gladly return someday.

2017 spring outing.

Lovely site. Very good wardens and staff, pleasant and helpful. Great for visit to the Cotswolds area, including small distance to Gloucester, Cheltenham or Bath (avoid Stroud!), and villages / tourist attractions. Only very minor point was the disappointment with the Saturday evening travelling fish and chips... Having checked with them at 5:30 it would be OK to return at 6:30 to get food, when we went back at 6:25 - They were sold out! We had not been advised we should order.... Obviously they had taken orders after our first visit as they continued 'serving' til after 7pm! The evening was saved by a quick trip to the brilliant gourmet Fish and Chip shop in Cirencester - excellent food (and they offer Fish, Chips and Fizz (Prosecco). The other visiting food seller, the Pizza oven, was brilliant. Lovely fresh, made to order pizzas. Overall though definitely recommended for a visit.
