if you like the sound of barking dogs[and the owners that make no effort to stop them] and people walking across your pitch the best time to stay at this site is on a weekend ,but if you like a site that is handy for the town and surrounding area of the cotswolds best just go and stay in midweek ,cirencester is a nice market town with plenty of things to do and see, we have stayed on this site many times but the first time on a weekend but never ever again there are plenty of places to eat and at least four supermarkets for shopping ,the Bathurst estate next door has plenty of walks and a large polo ground that you can get through the park ,a good site spoilt at times by the thoughtless few .
Gorgeous setting!
First time at Cirencester, mature & very well kept site, spotlessly clean all over.Helpful & friendly wardens which always helps.
Beautiful walk through the Bathurst Estate into Cirencester, loads of quaint eating places, tea rooms, pubs etc. Market on a couple of days as well.
TV reception dreadful but a tv hook up point available.
Far too many darned dogs around but hey ho, it's a caravan park so get over it.
Would go again for sure.

Great Site
This is our eighth consecutive year staying here and is always our first trip of the year. A large site with good facilities. It's a lovely short walk into Cirencester and there is plenty around the area to keep you occupied.
It was unfortunate that on this trip one of the wardens was a little over the top with enforcing rules. The site was really quiet and it was 16:30. I counted at least 14 spare hard standing pitches around us, our children had setup their badminton net on the pitch next to us, but were asked by the warden to move it in case anyone wanted the pitch. Ok, I see his point, but as I said there were loads of spare pitches, three in a row including the one they were using. Of course we would've moved it of someone really did want 'that' particular pitch. I didn't see one new arrival that night! Quite different from the warden last year who played swingball with our children.
Still a lovely site though!

Should have booked to stay longer
First visit to this site and as a mature couple we enjoyed the site, area, and the choice of which way to go each day be it for a walk in the park or visit the town or the drive around the countryside it is a site we will return to again and the weather we enjoyed at the beginning of May did help. Wardens very helpful, the site clean and tidy well done.

Boomerang site
This is our regular bolthole site. We keep coming back because of the walks, quietness of the site and when we want something different we come back for the Cotswold Show. Staff are always helpful and keep the site clean. Loved by dog owners and their dogs. Lovely walk into Cirencester.
Another happy visit
We found on this visit, a most friendly greeting from the lady on reception. A nice sunny pitch, superb shower/toilet facilities, a very good dog walk and a nice walk into dog friendly Cirencester.
The only problem we had was traveling from the South the 4 roundabouts you have to travel through confused us and we missed the turning for the site (A Brown sign would be helpful) however got on the site after a second attempt.
Super site in a good location

Corinium comment
Lovely situation and well kept site - as one would expect from the Caravan and Motorhome Club.
Two excellent facilities blocks but be warned, in the top block there is always the playing of inane music or other such noise - for what reason is beyond me. The lower block is not plagued with such a nuisance.
Lots of dogs - during this stay some folk walking three/four dogs - far too many for my liking. Unfortunately and particularly in the dark one has to be careful at times where placing ones feet to avoid uncleared dog fouling - very selfish owner behaviour.
Hedged areas at some parts of the site are partially trampled down, again by selfish thoughtless persons, taking short cuts to the toilet blocks.

Peaceful
This is a peaceful site with the usual high standard of facilities and reception. We have a dog and there is good dog walking off site only a few hundred meters away. There is also a reasonable on site dog walking area. It is also conveniently situated for many attractions. We especially enjoy visiting National Trust properties and there are several close by. One not to be missed is Hidcoate with its magnificent garden. Altogether an excellent site.
Wish we had stayed longer :)
As you would expect from the caravan club the site is beautifully kept with flat pitches and clean toilets and showers(that are push button) but hot and fast. The wardens were amazingly friendly and helpful. Made us feel very welcome. Cirencester is a beautiful little Cotswold town with cobbled streets and lots of interesting shops. Loads of cafes and restaurants. You can take a 15 minute walk from the site through the Bathurst estate into town which is definitely worth doing. It is an easy flat walk. We only stayed two nights but will definitely be going back as it didn't feel like long enough!
