ARRIVAL.. easy to navigate entrance all be it a single lane road (quite uneven and needs attention) plenty of space to pull up to check in. Staff are very helpful, like most other CCMC sites you choose your pitch on arrival. The shop in at reception stocks the very basics.
PITCH 51... we chose this pitch mainly because it was halfway to the toilet block and reception. It slopes slightly off to the rear but all good. Rock pegs required. The site is pretty quiet, all hard standing pitches are being used, this is a pretty large site. TV reception isn't great, we did find channels on the caravan aerial but ended up using the aerial cable to the site box.
We are visiting in October and its surprisingly dry, so unable to comment if pitches are poor for flooding. It's not muddy at all even with the rain we have previously had.
TOILET/SHOWER... block is clean, warm and in good condition, showers are hot.
OTHER... the walk into Cirencester is lovely, there are a couple of ways you can walk. If its through the Bathurst Estate the gate closes at 5pm, after this time it's the road path for returning back to the site
There are plenty of places to walk your dog.
In Cirencester itself there are plenty of dog friendly pubs, highly recommend the Bear Inn.
Highly recommend this site.
Pitches Going Downhill
We have used this site many times over 19 years. The first time the site was immaculate as were the hardstanding pitches. Unfortunately it doesn't look as if the club has done anything to keep the pitches up to the original high standard. They have now put in the Service Pitches since our last visit so I am not sure how smart these are, but they didn't stand out on our many walks around. I feel the Club is not helping the wardens that do need help with the grounds in particular levelling many of the lower hardstandings in the area we were in this October. Not only were these pitches sloping backward they were also sloping sideways, totally unsuitable for a motorhome even causing problems for caravans. Why is it Commercial Sites can get it right but our Club cannot - really need to get sorted out as now the Commercial Sites are overtaking our Club sites and most are serviced too but cost less than a club site 'standard with awning'. The current wardens are extremely friendly and helpful, the facilities were kept very clean and the visiting Chippy, Pizza and Curries on different days were most welcome. The park is beautiful, giving you the opportunity to walk into town. Lots of supermarkets around but car really needed as just a bit too far to carry those bottles!
Our nearest cub site with a fabulous dog field
Lovely and very helpful wardens who keep the site beautifully.
Cirencester Park Club Site has a fantastic field for dogs to run freely and securely on mowed grass on which dogs can play "fetch" etc. This facility is very important, not only to ourselves but to many other dog owning members.
The site has a super position with a fabulous walk into the lovely centre of Cirencester which is also a good base from which to explore the southern Cotswolds .

Good clean facilities - shame about some pitches - not value for money.
Cirencester Club site is very well located for easy walking access to the town, and it is a very lovely town. Also all the the Cotswolds has to offer is within easy reach. There is a Saturday morning parkrun a short walk away at Royal Agricultural College (only important to us parkrunners).
Facilities blocks are of a good size with plenty of the necessary cubicles and kept clean (at least when we were here).
However this is the first time we have ever had to give up trying to pitch our single axle caravan on a pitch that was so sloping we could not safely level our van, even with two of our wooden blocks on top of each other. We had to choose another pitch. The gravel on some of the pitches is poorly maintained with mud showing through the gravel. We were on one of the narrow pitches.
There are many comments here about how good the dog walk is for dog owners, therefore why do dog owners permit their dogs to defecate on grass around pitches, even when it is cleared up this is not hygienic. We witnessed this last time we were here and again this time. There was even a new ‘dog pit stop’ across from our pitch yet our neighbour exercised his dogs around the grass behind our pitches. Why is this considered acceptable?
This is our sixth site in a trip of almost a month. It has been the most expensive per night, yet the poorest quality pitch we have stayed on. Only two of our stops have been CMC Club sites and we would have to judge all four of the others as far better value and better sites than these (the others were an excellent CCC club site, two excellent CLs and a good CL).
CMC club sites are becoming our last choice these days. If it wasn’t for the CLs we would not continue with our membership.
Typical!
I think Cirencester Park could well be the site that the rest of network could be judged by. The facilities, staff, location are all typical of what to expect at any site.
A lovely well maintained site, really friendly welcome and Cirencester situated a short walk through the park. For a short break you really should book up and enjoy a typical site!
Beautiful site set in lovely country park
Gorgeous site, with large plots, excellent facilities, very large dog field that's secure so dogs can run free, walks straight into the park land and down into cirencester, would definitely visit again,
Good site with all you need for a pleasant stay.
Spent three nights on site. First club site visit so didn't know what to expect. Very impressed with the facilities. Lovely welcome from Staff in Reception, from where you can also get basic provisions and even arrange newspapers. The shower/toilet/laundry blocks with waste disposal are also excellent. Food vendors visit on designated days - pizza; vegan; and fish and chips which was really welcome after busy days. Lovely walk into Cirencester with loads to do. The Corinium Museum is undergoing alterations but is still remarkable and there's an excellent cafe/eatery linked to it. Really enjoyed our stay.
Best dog walk field on the network
We only had one night here so didn’t have time to do the walk in to the town. The best thing if you have a dog is the secure field where you can let your dog of the lead.
We will return.
The Private Bathurst Estate known as Cirencester Park
The access road is a private road and reviews mention in detail the poor condition of it. It is regularly used by local people visiting their local amenities ie. cricket ground, tennis club, The Bathurst Estate and college. With care and slow speed as indicated on the road there are no issues with it. Travel fast along it and there will be issues.
The cmhc itself is approached via security barriers. The wardens very informative and welcoming. There are at least three visiting eateries, each detailed with day, time and menus at the entrance and reception. The site is leafy lush and green with mature trees and shrubs.
The park has many special trees some aged over 400 years. The actual site is well laid out and spacious. Some comments have been made about the poor layout when driving, we did not find any issues regarding this. The facilities blocks are cleaned during the afternoon, we feel this is an improvement. We enjoyed our stay of a full week. The only issue we had was getting the availability to be able to book a whole week, because weekends are nearly always taken either side, preventing a proper holiday. Hopefully we can return.

Great site - great location
We really enjoyed both the quality of the site and facilities, as well as its location so close to Cirencester Park and the town. We will definitely come back.
