Loved this site 5 +++++

Only stay 1 night but would have loved to stay longer, wardens very helpful and friendly, because of covid we only used our own facilities. Beautiful walk into Cirencester through the vast park Good sized pitches mostly hard standing.. Will certainly go back. Dont know what else to say about this site, just beautiful, great, friendly and clean

Great Site & Wardens

We have stayed at this site on a regular basis and have been there three times since the since it reopened after lockdown. The attention to detail and cleanliness has always been present but on our last visits this has been even more noticeable. It is a shame that some members(?) ignore the precautions that have been put in place and ignore the system put in place for the use of the facilities. Our car decided it wanted to stay a little longer and would not start on out day of departure, no problem for the staff who helped move it until we were rescued. A little praise for our breakdown cover purchased through the club, on site within 45 minutes all prepared to take us home if necessary, we did not need it as they got the car working and we made our own way home. We will be back during the next few months to this lovely and welcoming site.

Well done wardens

This was our first visit at Cirencester since reopening. The wardens are doing a great job not only trying to work with Covid but also keep the site clean and tidy. Great location for walking into Cirencester and plenty of Covid secure cafes and eateries if you need them. We had a serviced pitch which was nice and level, clear of debris and all operational. Shame that other residents are unable to respect simple rules especially with Covid measures - walk across your pitch close to your open door or windows, let the children run around everywhere but their own pitch (we use to have our children with us - we don’t need someone else’s). None of this is the wardens fault - as always a nice site to stay

Well done to the wardens

We have just visited Cirencester Park and can not praise the wardens high enough for their hard work and making light out of a difficult situation. On arrival you must not arrive before 1pm as the approach road is very twisty and difficult to pass any other traffic. We arrived in a que with 6 other members and were directed where to park, a warden approached us with full information on what to do. We handed over our membership card and was then told to chose our pitch and return to the office to fully book in as usual. High praise to them for being able to clear the que very quickly. We love the site for its location and 20 minute walk into the town through the park which was most splendid in the morning sunshine. A personal recommendation for a restaurant Made By Bob in the Corn Hall is excellent a good choice of fresh food where you can see you meal being prepared.

Great site

Close to Cirencester, 10- 15 min walk max. Town has some good places to eat/bars. Hardstanding serviced pitches are large. Usual current covid rules apply for the toilet blocks. Will definitely be back. If you want to take a walk into town through the private Bathurst estate, it's only open from 8-5 pm. Go past the tennis and cricket ground, and take a right.

Cirencester Park - excellent, immaculate facilities.

Excellent reception team, immaculate washroom facilities, quiet and peaceful but within easy walking distance of beautiful, historic Cirencester. Slightly awkward one way system when trying to access the main motorhome service point and you definitely should not arrive before 1.00pm as the narrow entrance lane would be very difficult to negotiate if you met another large outfit coming in the opposite direction.

Nice Stsy

We’ve stayed here many times over the last 27 years. The site was busy and we chose a grass pitch which was fine. The facilities are good as you would expect from a CAMC site. The warden team were organised and helpful when we arrived. The hardstandings do need some TLC, many require new gravel and would certainly benefit from being widened. The new access road is ok, but the passing places would be better if they were longer, fine for a solo vehicle and outfit to pass, but would be tricky if two outfits needed to pass. I guess this fact will mean there will be no late check outs on this site at quiet times.

A great site within a short walk of Cirencester town.

We have stayed at Cirencester Park many times over the years and have always found the wardens pleasant and the facilities spotless. As we visited in September Covid H&S was in place so restrictions on numbers in toilet/shower blocks in place. The site, as usual is very well maintained and all pitches grass & hardstanding level. Lovely secure dog field on site but as the site is on the edge of the Bathurst Estate there are lovely walks nearby. As others have already said, the town is about a 20 minute walk through the park and has many shops and eateries. There are several large supermarkets on the edge of the town itself. There has been a lot of talk about the new access road. It is certainly a great improvement on the old road past the college which was full of potholes. We had no problem accessing the site as the arrival time of 1.00pm ensures that all caravan outfits have already left and the pull-ins are adequate for cars and motorhomes to pull over and let car/caravan outfits through. Just concentrate on the road itself and don't stray too close to the boulders lining the drive and there is plenty of room for outfits of all sizes to get through.

WARNING Do not arrive before 1.30pm

Overall this is a great site with all the facilities you need close to hand, a dog walkers paradise as Cirencester Park is just yards away with town centre a 20 min walk through the park. Here is the problem for me: the single track shared entrance/exit On entering the shared drive, it is impossible to see if another vehicle has already started their journey from the other end therefore both sets of drivers are committed to proceed. This is where the not so funny fun starts!! Whoever designed this new road was obviously not someone who drives long vehicles in anyway whatsoever….The design could have and should have been a simple straight drive where two vehicles could pass without any anxiety ( there is room to do this)…..instead they have managed to produce what looks like a temporary configuration of small pull in layby’s, and just to make matters worse they have positioned seriously large boulders to make thing even harder for the drivers, looking at the boulders you can see where damage has been caused to members outfits these past weeks. As long as you do not arrive before 1.30 pm you should be ok..

A great site, clean and tidy

This is a really well maintained site and the staff do a great job keeping the facilities in good orlder. We had a really enjoyable stay, with very helpful staff. The only negative I picked up on was from other members who came to our motorhome to ask how we had good TV reception when the site booster was giving zero signal. We had our own satellite dish of course! Serously though, I had a look around and it was clear that the height of the trees on site are now much higher than than the site booster antenna mast by several metres. The antenna has no clear line of sight to the local transmitter. In my opinion this could easily be resolved by some pruning of only a couple of the trees closest to the line of sightof the antenna.
