Brilliant site

We had a fantastic five days at this beautiful site, great for walking in the lovely grounds of the Bathurst Estate. This site is slightly hilly, so we used our levellers. Definitely one of our favourites, we will be back very soon The wardens are extremely friendly. Thank you

September 2020

Our first visit. It's a very sterile site...not much an camping site. It was packed so we hadn't much choice for an spot. You've to find a spot yourself which isn't easy when there's not much choice with 204 spots. Facilities where well serviced and clean. When something is not working like our fob was, staff isn't happy and behaved very unprofessional.... Will definitely not return.

Excellent all round, highly recommended

We only had one night but we will definitely go back. Handy for Cirencester - nice walk through Bathurst Estate. Great for dogs with a large exercise field and several smaller 'pitstop' areas. Nice firm grassy pitches and good, clean, safe facilities. Brilliant and very well run site, a credit to the Wardens

Better Than Ever

Our last stay here ended just before lockdown. The wardens (Deb and Rich ) have excelled in making our return friendly, and safe. All the wardens throughout the club are very good, but here they have gone that extra mile in making us all able to follow our lifestyle. Cleanliness is excellent, the site is very well looked after and nothing is too much trouble. Make sure that if you visit your reversing skills are competent! We have been amused at some folks efforts (not just site visitors because the access road serves other parts of the estate) to try and use the passing bays, unfortunately not long enough for a vehicle plus caravan. Perhaps cctv should be installed to record creative efforts? Overall an 11 out of 10 visit. Thanks a lot.

Dog owners paradise

Having read the reviews about the entry/exit road we did wonder if it was worth the anxiety. We arrived at 1.30pm with no problems at as we didn't come across any oncoming vehicles (phew) however departing was another story (will come to that). The site is spotless as you would expect any Caravan Club site to be and we found the staff friendly and very helpful (lending us a booster TV lead over night). The toilet/shower facilities have a great little band system which worked perfectly in the block we used. The site is perfect for dog owners and there were a lot of them (us included). Great dog run area with plenty of dog bins scattered about the site. The site is a stones throw from Cirencester Park and beautiful 20 minute walk into town. The majority of shops of dog friendly too. Our long weekend was perfect for us and our pooch. Now the down side... that entry/exit road! We left at 10am behind another outfit and at the entrance met with 6 incoming cars. Nobody could move and nobody did move for a good 5 mins as both caravan outfits couldn't safely reverse and the 6 cars which had now queued up didn't want to. Whoever thought route out with its shallow passing places and awful boulders needs shooting! In my opinion traffic lights are the only option now to ensure a safe passage in/out of the site. I hope someone is monitoring the reviews of this. I would like to return but only once I know this route in/out has been re-thought out.

Superbly placed site

This is a lovely site. Its situation for Cirencester is fantastic. A short walk through the Bathurst Estate takes you into the town. It is always nice to see the Tennis, Cricket and Polo activities. Plenty to see and do in the park or in the town. Like so many sites, the Covid situation keeps us all very much to ourselves and so unfortunately the atmosphere on site is not what it was. As so few of us are using shower blocks and site toilets it may be time to introduce a price reduction for those who do not use site facilities.

Large site, clean & well run - But don’t have the fish & chips!

One of the largest caravan & Motorhome club sites we’ve stayed on, but it’s very well kept, quiet and clean, great location for a stop off or longer stays, would definitely recommend but don’t have the fish & chips from the takeaway van on a Tuesday or Saturday night, it was absolutely disgusting, the fish was definitely not cod (I’m not sure that my cat would have eaten it!) it was grey, tasteless and covered in loads & loads of greasy batter plus the chips were under cooked, it was only £6 but I’d rather pay a bit more for actual cod and proper cooked chips, such a shame as we were so looking forward to it but it was very disappointing especially as we had to wait 45 minutes.

First Outing

This was our first ever trip in our newly acquired motorhome so approached with some trepidation. We needn't have worried from the very first welcome when we rolled up until our departure we had a fantastic time. The staff were fantastic, welcoming, helpful and clearly kept a very nice site. Pitches were good and lovely and quiet. The wonderful town of Cirencester is with a short walk from the site and can be accessed via the park which makes for a wonderful walk. There are numerous other walks but didn't have time to do them all. Overall a great site run by great people and will be going again.

Its a yes from us

A lovely site situated close to the beautiful town of Cirencester. we had a mechanical problem which necessitated our staying on site for an extra night. The lady on reception was brilliant, she cancelled our forward booking at Cheddar and increased our stay at Cirencester with no fuss. this allowed us to concentrate on the mechanical problem. The staff were also very helpful and understanding when the breakdown and subsequent mechanic attended and worked on our vehicle. The end result was a happy one due in no short measure to the site staff. A definite recommendation from us.

Relaxing stay

I had a really nice time at Cirencester. It is a site I have been wanting to stay at for some time now and I was not left disappointed. The site is well spread out with a mixture of grass and hard standing pitches. I decided to stay on a nice grass pitch in a quite area of the site. it was blissful. you can explore the neighbouring estate and walk through it to get into Cirencester. All the local pubs were friendly places and Cirencester itself was a very welcoming and picturesque town. All the site staff i met were to the usual good standard and very chatty! I was actually a bit sorry i had to move on from this beautiful place. The fish and chip van that visits was well priced and very nice. (Curry sauce chips and fish!!).
