Very well placed CAMC Club Site

We stayed here for 3 nights over the Easter period. Take note of the arrival time as the access road is lined with boulders with just a couple of passing places - we didn't have any problems here. Wardens were very friendly and seen busily keeping the site tidy. Toilet/shower block/laundry clean and tidy. Our pitch backed on to Cirencester Park which was lovely and there is an excellent dog walk on site. Access to the park is from 8-5 through a gate at the entrance. We walked into Cirencester from the site which was great, and also visited the micro brewery next door. There were food vans on several days of the week with different food selections available. Despite being quite full the site was very quiet both during the day and at night. We would use this site again.

Lovely Campsite and Stay

First trip to Cirencester Park Club Campsite and was not disappointed, though a large site (part of the site was not open due to soft ground on the grassy pitches which was not a problem still plenty of space). It was quiet and the grounds were perfectly kept. Facilities were excellent and spotless (best facilities on any campsite visited so far!) I don't understand previous reviews critique on the one available toilet during cleaning, waiting a few minutes out of the day is not really an issue. Dog facilities: perfect and the access to the Bathurst Estate was a wonderful addition for our dog Jack (Who would give it 10 out of 10). We only used the car once during our 4 night stay as the walk in Cirencester was within easy distance for a young family and many shops and restaurants (Recommend Porters bar) were dog friendly. A visit to the Corinium museum and day to spent relaxing in the sunshine in Abbey Grounds Park was lovely. Cirencester Park will certainly be the location to stay, beats other sites in the Cotswold, which we love but Cirencester is a cut above these sites in our opinion. We will be back soon! Well done the team at CPCC!

Great site but!

It's a lovely site with easy access to Cirencester via a lovely park walk. The facilities when open are clean and plenty of them. However they close them for cleaning at 10:15 which is too early and then there's only ONE toilet for the whole site. There are always queues and it's ridiculous in fact I don't know how they legally get away with it. Sort it out CAMC like opening the disabled toilet for that time.

Very enjoyable break

Site clean and tidy, toilet block well maintained, one closed, due to open when site was fully functional and open. Staff very friendly and welcoming always appeared to be working hard to maintain the site to its clean standard. We stayed close enough to the toilet block which made life easy for us both as we are getting older and find walking too far difficult. The dog walking field was fantastic and we spent many a happy time with our dog off his lead throwing his ball so he could get some exercise, all the dog waste bins were emptied daily which was nice to see. Entrance to site sometimes a bit difficult due to the stone bollards on both sides, no fault of the caravan site, but needs addressing by the council. Various Take-a-way foods come on site and these appear to be well appreciated, we used the ‘fish and chip’ one and were not disappointed. The wardens and the assistant wardens certainly make everybody welcome and do a very good job. We have booked to return in June as we were so pleased with the site and how we were welcomed, we want to explore more of the area this time as our last visit was to have a good rest and this we was able to do.

Excellent Site for a Midweek Break

We stayed at Cirencester Park for a midweek break this week, (mid-March). The site is spacious and spotless. There is a lovely 15 minute stroll through the park to Cirencester which is a lovely town but be aware that the park gates close at 5pm so to avoid a longer walk to the main site entrance, don’t be late! For those with dogs there is a large fenced and gated paddock where dogs can be safely allowed to run off lead. My only minor gripe is with the site wi-fi. We were on pitch 68 which might be a bad spot but initially I couldn’t get past the payment stage. I went to reception and spoke to a warden who gave me a number to ring which I did. The person I spoke to said there might be a problem with the site connection but even when I did get on it I struggled to get anything to load. In the end I switched my wi-fi off and used 3G/4G. As I said we might have been in the wrong spot on the site but the signal definitely needs some improvement. TV reception was also poor and I noticed a lot of vans were using extended aerial leads plugged into the site system. Minor points though which didn’t spoil a lovely few days. I’m sure we will return..

A great base for visiting Cirencester

We visited this site last month as we have relatives in Swindon with whom we wanted to meet up in Cirencester prior to Christmas. The site was perfect for us as it was in easy walking distance of Cirencester, either along a safe off-road path or via the road (the route we used after dark). We found the site to be comfortable, well-maintained and relatively quiet due to the time of year (and Covid no doubt). I am not sure how peaceful it would be in the summer when families are on site and as we tend to use Adult Only sites we would probably avoid this site during school holidays. We will, however, definitely use the site again. The Wardens were lovely and very helpful and we would definitely recommend this site.

Just Returned

Just returned having spent four days at this site and I think its worthy of a review. Upon arrival I found the wardens friendly and helpful it was a mid week break so the site was relatively quiet. I can understand the boulders upon the approach road as they probably do save the verge but I think the speed humps need sorting out after all you would be crazy to speed along this narrow road. The site is easily within walking distance of Cirencester walking up and down Cicely Hill is good for the legs. Facilities on site very good. I will visit again

Really lovely site, great for dogs, on the edge of Cirencester and Cirencester Park

Well laid out site, pitches along tree-lined avenues make each pitch feel quite secluded. Fantastic, fully fenced dog area on site, and Cirencester Park right next door, where well-behaved dogs can run free in certain areas. A bit of noise early evening from the sporting facilities next door but no road noise, so overall quite a peaceful site. The dogs loved the on-site dog area and also enjoyed roaming the open areas of the very welcoming and well-managed Bathurst Estate next door. Lots of interesting things to do in Cirencester and the local area, Westonbirt Arboretum is only a 20 minute drive away too. (And also has areas where well-behaved dogs can be off-lead.) Dog parking hooks by the amenity blocks would be useful, otherwise I can't fault this site! And we will be back :)
