Fantastic Site

This was our second visit to the site and really can't fault it. A large site but well laid out, very clean, the wardens extremely friendly. There is an area for dogs to run about which our pooch loved but sad to say some dog owners still don't pick up after their dogs, this is not the campsites fault but the owners. It's quiet, easy to walk into Cirencester and a walk through the Bathurst Estate is a must if you visit it is vast! No problem coming and going on the entrance to the campsite just abide by the instructions given and drive slowly there are passing places. Can't comment on whether it is good for families as ours are all grown up. We will definitely visit again.

Excellent site! Will stay again

We stayed at this site for a couple of nights recently and were very impressed througout the stay. Smooth and easy check-in, friendly and knowledgeable staff, pitches were nicely spaced apart, good choice of plots, great location and a lovely walk through parkland to get to the centre. They have a small, but designated 'dog run' field area for your four-legged friends to safely have a run around and play with other dogs, which was fabulous. Our dog loved it there!! Will definitely stay here again! Highly recommend.

Great site - walk into town

Stayed May 22. Usual club standards, site kept immaculate. Easy 15 minute walk through estate next door into Cirencester where good selection of shops, pubs etc. one of the closest sites to my home so we have been regulars for years here. Fairly narrow road in so don’t arrive early - there are passing places though. Nice touch “park herb garden” by entrance where you can help yourself for a meal. Is next door to a school but noise not intrusive.

GREAT SITE AND A SUPER LOCATION.

Just back home after a four night visit to this lovely campsite. Although on the large scale with 211 pitches it is carefully designed into separate areas giving a sense of a smaller site. All the warders we met were very friendly and helpful. The shower block was large clean and never busy during our stay. With Bathurst Park only 5 minutes’ walk from the site and the town of Cirencester accessible via the park (0800-1700) it's a great location. The market is on Mondays and Fridays and worth a look. We ate at both The Fleece and The Bear Inn both very good. If you don't fancy eating out most nights various vendors visit the site with a variety of food to take away. Lots of walks to be had in the Park which on some days also have Polo matches (open to visitors) if you wish to go further afield with your walks plenty of those available from 4 miles to 10 miles loops. Also worth a mention is the heated (27 degrees) natural spring outdoor swimming pool (15 minutes’ walk away) we booked a session prior to our visit and as being 60+ the charge of £8.00 for us both we thought was very good. In summary then a most enjoyable stay and one we intend to visit again when one of the Sounds of the Summer Music Festivals is on in Bathurst Park.

Great Site

Our first visit here despite it not being too far away. Only stayed 2 nights and wish we had stayed longer. Managed to get a fully serviced pitch which is always a bonus. Great dog walk. Lovely walk into Cirencester through the park. We will be back

Absolute torture

Always check the date of the local agricultural college's May Ball. It began at 8pm on Friday 20th May and finished at 7am the following morning. Loud, excruciating techno music permeated the whole site throughout the night making sleeping almost impossible. No mention at all of this during the booking process. The first I knew was after I handed over my pitch fees. This is simply not good enough. I will be writing to the club asking for an official apology and some form of reimbursement. I feel this is yet another example of the Club's management who put profit before customer service, support and compassion.

Great site

Had a lovely 4 day stay here, the site was clean and well maintained. Best shower block ever!!! Easy to get to Cirencester Park for walks and to the town. Plenty to see and do in Cirencester, recommend the guided walk on a Saturday afternoon, and a visit to the amphitheatre. Loads of history. Looking forward to a return visit.

Lovely site

We have just spent 4 nights at this site and wondered why it had taken us so long to return. Fantastic friendly wardens the best we have had on a site for a long time. Spotless facilities and the best thing is they are cleaned in the afternoons. Why can’t all sites do this? The dog walk is fab and we spent time throwing the ball for ours and just sitting on the bench looking at the view. The walk through the park to Cirencester takes about 15 mins and is a fab walk for humans an dogs. Since we last went to this site there is a brewery close by with a lovely garden to sit out in. Really need to go there. We are definitely returning to this site

Lovely wardens

We have spent 3 nights here to meet with family. A superb site with fabulously friendly wardens. So well kept and run. The food stands at the front of the site are unobtrusive and a great addition. It is a busy site but there is lots I space. The only downside was the number of dogs constantly barking at all times of the day. If you are sensitive to barking I would definitely avoid! Access to Cirencester Park and a gentle stroll into the town makes this a perfect site to visit.

A site worth returning to time and time again

This is a lovey site with easy access to Cirencester via Cirencester Park. The facilities are excellent and are kept immaculately clean. It's generally peaceful although I did notice on this visit the proximity of the College to the campsite now. The site is well kept and the wardens are friendly and clearly hard working; The addition of a number of different food services is also excellent. We had a delicious Chicken curry and Jacket Potato one evening but they also do fish and chips one night and south african food another as well as other options. Walking in Cirencester Park is lovely and this makes the site an absolute gem. Also it's proximity to Cirencester itself. We only live 25 minutes away but we feel like we are on holiday as soon as we arrive on site. It's also an excellent site for a winter visit as there's plenty to see and do in Cirencester and it's great for walking. We will of course be back as it's our little local gem!
