We visited chatsworth during the Easter half term this was our 2nd visit this year! Had a great time, the facilities on site are kept exceptionally clean, the wardens work very hard to maintain the site to a very high standard. The wardens are most helpful and are friendly and always greet you with a smile. Lovely walk into baslow via chatsworth estate, would recommend eating out at the wheatsheaf, very nice meals and friendly staff! Will definitely be returning very soon. Only negative I would say is that it is slightly overpriced but does not stop us from staying there!
CAN'T UNDERSTAND
Having visited for 5 days at the end of March I find it hard to understand some of the previous reviews. I'm glad I ignored the poor reviews because my wife and I found the site excellent and although it was full did not feel people were on top of me as the pitches are of a good size. Admittedly we had a supper pitch with all required services, including a chemical toilet disposal point so did everything in the van, including showering, but on the occasions we used the main facilities they were never overcrowded with people waiting for showers. With regard to the noise created by crows and ducks one has to remember it is in the country side so what does one expect. I will certainly visit again as the site and surrounding country side
Over rated
Arrived to find the site packed to the rafters. The pitches are right slap bang on top of each other offering little to no privacy, it feels like Im camping in Sainsburys car park.. Limited facilities considering there are 120 pitches. Beautiful part of the world but all I can see are neighbouring vans, Already cancelled my second night here. Not impressed at all.
A BIT OVERPRICED
A nice site but overpriced as there are other sites as good as this in good locations and a lot cheaper.
one problem was the TV from the booster kept on failing every couple of hours and at one stage half the site lost power
this will not stop me from staying again but not when its that price.
comment on the new signage...not good..as it blends into nothing when you are looking for the site as i had not been to this one before and the long/lat takes you else ware to get into the site
Oh Dear
Having spent thousands on changing signage, the wardens were unable to replace a sink plug! One sink had a plug that was to small and therefore making the sink unusable unless you had a bowl. When asked the response was we are told about it every day. It's on order. Whilst minor when paying over £30 a night one expects the facilities to be usable and surely replacing a sink plug cannot be to difficult. Why should there be a need to order a sink plug. Bureaucracy gone mad I think! I'm sure one could be obtained from nearby Bakewell. Having said that the site is in a wonderful location and the staff friendly.

Noisy crows!
A wonderful site a long way from the main road. Unfortunately there are large numbers of crows that are nesting around the main site. Constant noise first thing in the morning and when sitting out in the evening. A lovely walk through the park takes you into Baslow village.
Great stay
Had a fabulous stay at this 5* site, at the end of March 2017. Could not fault the site at all. Although be aware that the 1 pm booking in time is strictly adhered to, so don't think you can sneak on early. We traveled from the York site, departure time 11:15 latest and had to stop half way to make sure we didn't arrive early.
Lovely walk along a footpath in the park to the village that has two good pubs that do food, one dog friendly. Also an Italian restaurant and a shop/post office. If you walk in the opposite direction you soon reach Chatsworth house, and it's fabulous gardens.
The site is also well placed to visit many of the outstanding attractions of Derbyshire.
Will definitely return, if we can get in as it is constantly booked up.

A Derbyshire Gem
We stayed at this fantastic park for the first time at the end of March 2017, we stayed on a super pitch, which has the additional convenience of having a chemical toilet disposal on it as well as the usual water and waste, so no carrying the toilet across the park to empty it.
We had arranged to meet up with some friends that had stayed at this park before, on arrival, the reception staff were so friendly and welcoming, they put you at ease straight away, the wardens directed us to our pitch, and also had a, nothing is to much trouble attitude, the site, the toilets and other facilities are kept immaculate, in all a really well run and kept site that we will definitely be returning to .
