Conveniently located near to J3 M42. Excellent site that is ideal for stop-overs on longer journeys or for a longer stay to explore the area. Right next to the Birmingham Transport Museum, which is well worth a visit, as is the nearby Becketts Farm.
Perfect for a stopover
Used this site many times now as a stop over and it is excellent. Location spot on, wardens very helpful, pitches good, all in all it does what it says on the tin!
One tiny negative. Not sure whether it happens more here or whether it is more obvious but some drivers really need to slow down. Three or four with caravans on driving far too fast around this site. Perhaps site needs to invest in two or three more speed humps?
Great site and wardens
Used this site as a stop over heading to Devon from Scotland. Very well situated only 5 mins off the motorway. Facilities were very well maintained and clean and wardens friendly and helpful. 2 fuel stations very close by on way in and out of site so very handy for refuelling before getting back onto the motorway. We'd certainly consider a longer stay in the future.
Last minute saviours
Needed a site at last minute due to nightmare traffic jams and unable to reach our booked site before 8pm, mangaged to get on here.
We cannot thank the amazing, friendly and accommodating staff on the lovely site enough.

A good site for a 'stop-over'
We stayed with our two small dogs for two nights in June 2018 because of it's excellent location close to the M42. The site is well managed and the wardens were friendly and helpful. There are two toilet blocks, A & B. Toilet block A is obviously the more elderly of the two and, whilst being kept spotlessly clean, it was dated and in need of an upgrade. The dog walk on-site is small and the ones across the fields had long grass and looked as though they would be muddy in the winter.
The farm shop is close and within easy walking distance and has a footpath all the way to it. It is well stocked with a wide variety of goods. Unfortunately the Cafe is not dog friendly, although there are tables outside on which you can sit (not much good if it looks like rain).
We will definitely be returning
Our 7th stay!
Well, the fact that this was our 7th stay at Chapel Lane says a lot! The facilities are always very clean, the site well cared for with flower troughs and a herb garden. And the wardens very helpful and friendly.
A couple of little comments... when in the washing up room, the sign says 'very hot water'. Well, it’s not actually hot enough to wash up effectively. However long it’s run, it’s still only just hand warm.
The play area is rather sparse of play equipment....
Great location and wardens
The site is easy to access and friendly. The wardens work hard to keep the site and facilities in great condition.
The Becketts Farm Shop was a real bonus with great food etc and a fab cafe.
Our only issues were the pitches are VERY hard and bend rock pegs.
The other being dog walkers using the site to exercise the dogs rather than the dog walk.... Not nice to have dog dirt walked into one's awning !
Returning via....
Whenever we head north on the M40 from Sussex, this site is handily located just off the motorways and after 3 visits now, the welcome has always been exceptionally warm and friendly, matched by spotless facilities and well kept site areas - it is a model C&MC site in that respect. Brilliant.
If you have been on the motorway all day, a peaceful rest is probably what you want and we have always enjoyed our time on this site although local places to eat 'out' in, close enough to walk to, are few and far between, so unless you fancy another drive or a taxi ride to the pub, come prepared. The farm shop at the roundabout is excellent for stocking up on all manner of foods and worth a visit.
We are a couple so comment on suitability for families is tricky (apologies if thought to be unwarranted at such a low rating) but there is a small fenced play area with swings in as well as a nice smooth tarmac site road for scooting around. Outside the site, there really isn't much from our eyes especially with the traffic on the roads at the beginning and end of the day.
I used the site once for getting to a business meeting in Birmingham and furnished with taxi number and train timetable by site staff, it all proved very easy and simple for taxi transfer to station and quick/frequent train right into heart of Birmingham. For anyone who has tried to use and park a car in Birmingham will know, this is a massive plus ! Haven't tried the buses yet though, so cannot compare.
Just as a heads up, your early morning tranquility might be disturbed if parked 'close' to the adjacent road at part of the site farthest from the office, as it gets busy quite early on, with people trying to beat the morning rush getting on the motorways. Would not stop us returning to this oasis for weary travellers.
Thanks again for another enjoyable stay 3 June 2018
Well located and easily accessible.
I arrived at Chapel Lane on 23 May 2018 following a change in plans. However on arrival I was met at reception with a very warm welcome and a choice of pitches on quite a large site. The site itself and all its facilities were maintained to the usual high club standards as you would expect. It being half term the site could have been a little noisy but on the whole the week was enjoyable. It would appear that most if not all pitches are tarmac or gravel hardstanding which following the thunderstorms and torrential rain of the weekend drained remarkably quickly. The site is easy to find and has immediate access to the main road/motorway network. Although close to Birmingham its easy to get to the likes of Evesham and Worcester, Warwick and Stratford on Avon etc with all tourist opportunities that are available there. Whilst its a handy site while transitting through, the site is well placed for longer stays. Highly recommended.
