Well located and easily accessible.

I arrived at Chapel Lane on 23 May 2018 following a change in plans. However on arrival I was met at reception with a very warm welcome and a choice of pitches on quite a large site. The site itself and all its facilities were maintained to the usual high club standards as you would expect. It being half term the site could have been a little noisy but on the whole the week was enjoyable. It would appear that most if not all pitches are tarmac or gravel hardstanding which following the thunderstorms and torrential rain of the weekend drained remarkably quickly. The site is easy to find and has immediate access to the main road/motorway network. Although close to Birmingham its easy to get to the likes of Evesham and Worcester, Warwick and Stratford on Avon etc with all tourist opportunities that are available there. Whilst its a handy site while transitting through, the site is well placed for longer stays. Highly recommended.

Almost another Great Stay

Booked here for one night, as usual, at this time of year to check out the van, make sure all is working etc. First time out this season. We store in the compound so only live a few miles away. Once again found the site to be in excellent condition, with really friendly and extremely helpful wardens. Just one problem. We were on pitch 40. We have used this pitch and ones nearby many many times. This year no TV signal from bollard. After discussions with warden we eventually got a signal using our own aerial and a booster but only about 20 channels. Apparently some of the bollards booster system are not working. The warden says he is in discussion with the Reg Mgr about whether to take out the booster completely. Arguments for and against. Some reckon TV is excellent without booster. We have been staying on the site year on year since the late 1980's and know that some pitches have great TV and some poor. We believe that if you paying almost £30 per night then you MUST have excellent TV and Wi Fi. So perhaps the Reg Mgr needs to stay on the site on different pitches before making a decision. That would be a first!? Anyway thanks for a great night we will be back again and again.

Peaceful spring weekend

Visited for three nights with new caravan. Excellent welcome at reception, all necessary information provided. We were on full service pitch which was a good size. Site was quiet as early in season. Facilities were spotless, one block older than the other but both good. Small play area available and small on site dog walk, Plenty of walking off site on pavements. Farm shop and cafe down the road were excellent. Short drive to numerous pubs and into Birmingham if you want. We would definitely return.

Lovely site with top wardens

Stayed here for the busy, and wet, Easter weekend. Site was lovely and perfect for our trip to Cadbury World. It was the cheerful and welcoming wardens who made this a 5 star site though. Thank you!

Rural meets Urban

A well kept site situated in a pleasant spot and very handy for the Birmingham Metropolis. It was mid-week in March and very cold, so spoilt for choice of pitches. I know that this site can get very busy at other times. Some pitches could be noisy from the road system not far away? The toilet block we used (there are two) is one of the originals and is showing its age - but The Wardens keep it very clean. We planned to do some walking as there is some to be had in the area but the weather beat us. A trip to Redditch was easy via the regular bus service. The Kingfisher shopping centre dominates the town centre. Likewise, a regular bus service runs from nearby Withall to Birmingham City Centre with lots to see in this ever changing city-scape and with plenty to do for all ages.

So good we stayed two extra nights.... thanks to the adverse weather.

The site was easy to find and is well positioned for getting to both the NEC and Birmingham. Due to the adverse weather we didn't venture too far from the site during our 9 day stay. There is an excellent farm shop within walking distance of the site and Aldi and Sainsbury supermarkets a short drive away. Sadly the transport museum adjacent to the site was not open during our stay. The site is well maintained and the wardens very pleasant. The shower/toilet block was very clean and warm as was the dishwashing area. I will be back for an overnight stop on my way to Wales in April.

A nice surprise

First time at this site - most particularly to be on a "proper" site, close to the NEC for the Caravan and Motorhome Show. The site is beautifully kept ( and probably looks wonderful in the summer with all the leaves out ) and the wardens extremely pleasant. Pitch layout is very good allowing for reasonable choice - even for the limited serviced pitches. Easy to get to NEC on the M42 ( out of rush hour of course ) The surprise was that, on our non show days, there were so many nice places to go in the area. Excellent farm shop down the road ( 10% discount with club card - we didn't find out till the last day , after visiting the information hut ! ). Sainsbury's and Tesco not far. All in all, a great holiday - even when all the water pipes froze ! We'll be back.

Ideal site for stopover or visiting the area

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at Chapel Lane, both times have been over night stopovers. This visit was whilst on route to London from our home in N. Wales. The site was included in the 50% off pitch fees offer which was a massive bonus & was great value for money. It’s an ideal site for stopovers as the pitches are hard standing & level , some are Tarmac , meaning for easy pitching & ideal for a quick get away in the morning. Having said that we would definitely stay here for longer if visiting the area as it is a peaceful place yet within easy reach of nearby motorways. It’s also ideally placed if you want to visit the Transport Museum next door. The welcome on site was very friendly, & the site & the facilities are very clean. There are 2 facility blocks on site , one is more modern than the other but both are very clean & well kept. During this latest visit ( in February) only one block was open. We especially like the showers which provided plenty of hot water & were not those annoying push button type , & the privacy cubicles for basins that a lot of club sites offer. If you have kids like us , there is a play area , but it is on the small side. Nice site & we’ll definitely return.
