Great Site Beautifully Located

Very nice site, with hardstanding so open all year. Great location for walking and only a five minute walk into the lovely village of Castleton. The wardens were very friendly and helpful.

Fabulous!

This was our first visit to a caravan club site and we loved it!  The site is very well placed near to Castleton town centre with plenty of pubs with food available and brilliant walks. The site was well kept and facilities were great!  On our return I re booked for February and can't wait.

Fabulous site

This was out first time at Castleton, lovely site, we were lucky enough to have some snow, very picturesque, very well kept site, facilities good, plenty of showeres and toilets, warm, plenty of hot water, an easy stroll in Castleton where there are a few good pubs, a very good location, plenty of good walks, will definitely be coming here again.

Excellent

This was our first visit to this site, joined caravan club just so we could try it. We were not disappointed, one of the best sites we have stayed on, I can`t fault it in any way

Well run site

Visited 27 Dec for 2 nights for our first visit and wished we had booked for longer.   The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Excellent location just a short walk into Castleton where there are great pubs serving food. The site does lack an area for young children to play. The only criticism is that I saw campers on more than one occasion letting their dogs use the grass areas to do their biz!  A shame as there is a dog walking area.

First visit

First time to Castleton. Great location within easy walk of village. Plenty of good pubs and cafes. Lots of walking possibilities in surrounding area. Friendly welcome on arrival at site. Site facilities very good, with usefull drying room for wet outdoor gear. Many people we met were regular visitors which says it all. We did not see a play area for younger children, although dogs have their own 'exercise' area. So maybe not ideal for families with young children. We look forward to retuning sometime in the summer.

Peace and quiet

Fantastic campsite recently been owners were very friendly. The christmas carols on the campsite were also excellent and i love how its so close to the town centre. Pitches are of good quality but finding a tv signal is a right pain so be prepared. Internet is avaliable but you have to pay by card at £2.50 per day so we just went to the bulls head hotel which has free wifi good value for money would reccomend to retired couples and families.

Love this site

One of our favourite sites, it is so picturesque. It is kept very clean and the facilities are up to the usual standards of the Caravan Club.  There are lovely walks, lots of pubs and a shops within walking district, and you can leave your car and catch the local bus to Bakewell, Buxton, Chesterfield and Sheffield.  Highly recommended
