A lovely site

Well kept and very clean. The wardens Robin and Ian were the best I have met , they were so helpful, we arrived in pouring rain and they helped us to set up. The area is good with a golf club meals in the bar very good. We will definitely be back. Recommend to anyone

Great Site for Visiting Crrnwall

Can't praise the site staff, Ian & Robin, too much, their attention to all matters was exemplary and we were made most welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Most basic commodities are kept on site and a well stocked shop/garage is nearby The site is kept immaculate throughout and is a credit to them. Very peaceful and quiet, perhaps not ideal for parents with young children as play facilities are limited. If you are looking for a well placed site for visiting Cornish locations then look no further. Barry & Heather Townsend

Camelford pleasure

The wardens, Robin and Ian, were spot on with their attitude, helpfulness, and care of the site - thank you both. Access to the site in our 7.5m Motorhome was easy. We also took advantage of the club link with Enterprise to hire a car, with 10% discount and free drop off and pick up via Bodmin, which helped us maximise our enjoyment of Cornwall with visits to St Ives, Kynance Cove, Polzeath, Port Isaac and Lanhydrock House to name a few! One of our best holidays ever!

A well kept site

Good for us to visit family. Beautiful kept. Quiet. Only drawback, windy, but it is North Cornwall so expect that and the temperature to be a couple of degrees lower than other places.

Long weekend in Camelford

Great greeting from very friendly and helpful wardens. Site immaculate and well tended, lots of information on the area provided and easy walk into the town. Good choice of hardstanding pitches all well spaced with easy access to water and waste etc. Quick drive to Wadebridge to pick up the Camel Trail in either direction and close to Tintagel and other popular areas. Very happy to come back and enjoy the area.

Great site perfect for visiting Cornwall and North Devon

A very reasonably priced site, close to beaches, towns and facilities. The site was kept in pristine condition by the wardens who were friendly and helpful. I prefer this site to some of the other sites in Cornwall which are closer to the coast because this site is easy to get to, with no narrow lanes to negotiate with your outfit. And being close to main roads it means you have a choice of places to visit, beaches or moors. Lots of cycle paths and footpaths. And although it is close to the A39 there is very little road noise. Great site for lone campers like myself, families or couples.

5 day stay at Camelford

For us, almost the perfect site, quiet, small, easy access, friendly people, no kids. The wardens Robin and Ian were just excellent, hardworking, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, we stayed on many CMC sites and these two are by far the best wardens we have encountered. The site desperately needs investment and in particular the toilet block needs updating and the disabled facilities portacabin needs removing. Having said this, the faci, ities were spotless. We have a largish motorhome (8.7 M) and usually use hard standing which is just as well as there was not one grass pitch that was level. The hard standing pitch we were on was the hardest we have ever encountered, without being on concrete, we had to borrow a sledgehammer from the wardens to get rock pegs in. Lots to do and see locally really enjoyed our stay we will be back later this year. Thank you Robin and Ian you did us proud.

easy access and so peaceful

So easy to access from the road as this was only our second camp in our new van, and the concern is always how easy is the access?! This site was perfect for us, 2 adults who wanted a peaceful and relaxing time. Great base to visit Cornwall, and I couldn't fault the warm welcome despite our late arrival of 5.30pm. There were about 15 units on the site but hardly saw anyone! One shower block with 3 showers, and several toilets. Warm and clean. Not much to do on this site for younger campers, but it suited us perfectly. Owners advised of various takeaways in the local town. 3 days on site and we toured much of Cornwall for 2 of them. We will definitely come back to this site again in the future, but it will be when we have more than 4 days as it took us 5 hours to travel on each journey.

A great week away

We have family in this area and Camelford is a lovely site. Very peaceful and ideally located for all the places in north cornwall. Dog walking area is a bit small, but the area around and site is large enough that this is really irrelevant. On arrival and throughout our stay the team here have been amazing. If you want a location in between Rock and Bude with all the attractions in between, Camelford is the best. Plus there is an excellent Golf course on it's doorstep, with plenty of others around. When we come to Cornwall now, this will be our prefered site.

2 night motorhome stay in March

A quiet, imaculately kept site with spotlessly clean facilities and very hardworking, friendly, helpful wardens. We found some lovely walks from the site and a well stocked convenience shop a very short walk away. We noticed a bus stop near the entrance, but as we were only on a two night stay did not make use of this. The motorhome service point was a real bonus as it was so easy to use and manoeuvre around. The site was very easy to find and access. Lots of places of interest within a few miles so will definitely return for another visit. would highly recommend this site.
