Large pitches, in secluded groups on several different levels, no over looking
A very friendly warden and his partner, who was always keen to engage in conversation
Ideally placed for access to Cambridge, either via the park & ride (i mile away) or the service bus from the village (10 min walk)
They even have a Fish & Chip van call on a Friday evening, the quality of which I can recommend
wonderful cherry hinton
stayed 23rd to 27th May on this quirky, beautiful site.As usual the wardens were welcoming and helpful. Facilities to usual club standards and perfect location for all the local area has to offer. The available space (without being claustrophobic) may not suit active families with children, hence the middle score in this rating. The bus route into Cambridge was brilliant especially for someone like me who has not been on a bus for years. A visit to the University Botanic gardens is a must as the area offers beauty, peace and calm in the middle of the city. We had a wonderful break and are intending to return to see the site and area in all it's autumn glory.

Excellent Stay
Loved this site and will visit again. Site was easy to find, the wardens were very friendly, helpful and informative, the sanitary block was very very clean. There is a bus stop 3 minutes walk down the road and it takes about 20 minutes to get into the centre of Cambridge. There is an excellent pub next to the bus top. We got a taxi into Granchester for £11.50 and then walked into Cambridge (2 miles) and caught the bus home.
Great site and location
A great clean, quiet site thats really handy for getting into Cambridge with a pub just down the road. Great friendly welcome and the usual high standard of facilities.
Great little site
Many years since we'd visited Cherry Hinton, but we weren't disappointed. Great facilities block, very clean. Some pitches are a bit tight, but the site has character and therefore gets full marks from me.

mid April visit
The site was easy to find and layout, location of services etc was good. I did not find, however, that the welcome from the warden was very good. I booked by phone and was made to feel that I was causing an inconvenience. On arrival when I asked to book for a further 2 nights , a sigh underlined this. I was only able to get one more night and when we left on the Friday mid morning it was not with a wish to hurry back.
Good choice for visiting Cambridge
This is a very clean site. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Shops, cafe and pubs within easy walking distance, as are the bus stops to get into Cambridge centre. Will definitely be back.
Great visit to Cambridge
Smallish site and some of the pitches look a little cramped. Roadways are narrow and there is a surprising amount of traffic using Lime Kiln Road - definitely need to take care when exiting site either by car or on foot. Wardens deserve six green ticks!
Location is everything and as others have said, the bus service is great and so is the Robin Hood pub.
Site is quiet at night so a good night's sleep.
Definitely recommended.
Excellent
This is a really well run and clean site, the wardens were excellent. Access to Cambridge is an easy 10 minute walk to the bus stop and buses run every 10 minutes. The Robin Hood pub is across the road from the bus stop and is worth a visit. Duxford imperial war museum is also worth a visit and is a 15 minute drive from the site.
