Cae Mawr

Do not let Cae Mawr's lack of a toilet block put you off coming to this site. There are more than enough service points to meet everybodys needs. The site is ideally located near to Treath Bychan beach and access to the fabulous Anglesey Coastal path as well as nearby Benllech, Moelfre & Red Wharf Bay. Anglesey is a beautiful island that never seems overly busy and is a real get away from it all place

Return to Angelsey

This site is a lovely peaceful place lovely place to visit. Very much like a CL. The wardens were extremly welcoming and friendly and the site was really well kept. There are lovely beaches and plenty of places to visit around the island. It would be helpful if a caravan club sign could be placed facing the entrance as the first thing you see is the sign for the static site next door and assume that is not the turning. We will return to this site if ever in the area

So peaceful

Stayed at cae Mawr 6th till 10th sept. Only booked that morning and though the site was very busy, the wardens were able to accommodate us. Easy access to the site and in a very quiet rural setting. The fact that there was no toilet block was more than compensatedouble for by the very reasonable nightly charge.  Close to the beaches of Benllech and Moelfre and with a really good 20 minute dog walk. In fact you can get to any part of the island  within 30 minutes. We will definitely be visiting again.

Nice site

As expected from a club site the staff was very friendly, the site it's self is very clean and tidy. One of the reviewers said Asda is over the road, if it is we couldn't see it, when leaving the site turn right and follow the road for about 10/15mins and you will find the Asda, they do made to order pizza and cook for a £1, well worth it :) when you hit the roundabout by Asda take what is the 3rd turning to a small car park and you will find a nice woodland walk (The Dingles) worth a trip. Back to the site, very quite and nice site, it's a long trip for us but if we are looking to go back to Anglesey we will certainly go back.

Bank Holiday

Got back from this Site on Monday having visited since Friday before. Absolutely amazing Site, clean, tidy, friendly staff and for a Bank Holiday even the weather!!!! No facilities on Site but providing you have your own on board no reason to grumble. Have been once before so thus decided to come back with new van!!!! Was busy but still obtained the peace and quiet which was required. Near to a PH and not far from local village which caters for food and provisions. Definitely going back again and one to keep in our Journal.

First time using ALL the Vans facilities

We arrived at Cae Mawr to find the office closed, and a sign saying find a pitch and book in later, this was a first for us. It would be useful if there was a site plan displayed somewhere for when the office is closed. The site is well kept, and for a non facility site we were surprised as to how busy it was. Ideal base for touring Anglesey which we did. We also went from here to Snowdon, took the train up and walked back down. (suffered for that) As has already been said, the pub at the top of the road is very close, but its not the nicest of places. we didn't eat and only had a couple of drinks. (glasses were dirty, had to change them)

Peace and Quiet

This is an outstanding caravan site, very clean and tidy. It is in easy reach of local beaches and sailing facilities. Not to far from Llangefni a local market town, with an excellent caravan and camping shop situated opposite ASDA where you stock up on things you may have forgotten. Beaumaris is an excellent trip out for the day to see the old prison where you can leave the children if you are that way inclined. The old Court House is also worth a visit as is the castle nearby. A good day out to the south stack lighthouse, if you are fit enough to climb the 400 steps or so. Have a good time.
