Small and expensive

I don't think the website makes it clear that this site has NO TOILETS! I was charged £14 out of season for a campervan and one person - very expensive considering the lack of facilities. I think the Minnows and Dulverton sites, both less than half an hour away, are only about £12 with toilets and showers. This is a very small site with only about 12 gravel pitches, with grass in between each one. Fortunately everyone was very quiet, because a noisy neighbour would be a nuisance to the whole site! The dog walk goes around the outside of the site, and they have done a lot of work cutting down everything, which I hope will be great in the summer, but at the moment means there is just wood hip and nothing else. The site was otherwise very well kept, clean and tidy. Every pitch has electric and there is water (cold only) and chemical disposal. I also suggest to phone ahead to let the wardens know when you are going to be there. This is more of a stop over on route to Cornwall than somewhere you would want to stay as a destination.

Cadeside

Stayed here on quite a few occasions now and we have never been disappointed. There is now toilet or shower block but when you have this in your van its not a problem. The site is located just 5 mins from the M5, we use this site as a central point to visit family and friends. The wardens here are always helpful. If its just a short visit to the area or as stop off when heading further afield I can recommend it. Its great to sit and watch the birds that gather around the feeders. A short stroll away is the Skylark, a Marstons pub that does some nice meals or head into Wellington town that is only 5 mins away. A worthy site to visit and some interesting places to visit in the locality. We will be visiting again.

four day break

our second stay here, a lovely short break. Wellington is close by, and Taunton is only six miles away, which allowed us to walk the dog along the river Tone in the purpose built country park, which was level and had flat paths, suiting our old dog. Our only comment on the club site was that the dog walk would benefit from a more secure fence against the busy road, just in case an animal slips their lead. We see no reason why we will not return again.

Good stopover site

We stayed at Cadeside for one night only with our little dog. Unfortunately, the day we arrived the dog walking area was not available. As the site has no toilet/shower block, and the dog-walking area was out-of-bounds, we were a bit surprised that the site was the same price as Tredegar House, with its immaculate facilities and the proximity of the park. Nevertheless, Cadeside is very clean and peaceful, and the wardens were friendly and helpful.

Another nice 3 night stay

Another nice stay, nice clean site, but what a pity there is still no WIFI, surely on a site of this size and layout the cost of installing WIFI would be minimal.Terry and Anne are pleasant helpful wardens which will be missed by many when they move next month.

a good restbite from the cornish wind

After staying at Tintagel for 7 days it was a great relief to be on such a well organised and peaceful site with no wind. The wardens were so friendly and could not be more helpful. Looking forward to seeing them at Whitley bay site when thy move there next season .

Convenient for stop offs.

Ok. Nice and clean. Short walk to town. But needs WiFi.  In fact as a brand, ALL Caravan Club sites need Wi-Fi. It is expected nowadays! Come on and meet expectations regardless of whether the site is popular or not.

Great little site

Small but beautiful. Great pitch sizes. Wardens keep the place immaculate, and even have flowers at the water point. Wardens even ask people to move their vans if they are not parked correctly, which doesn't often happen on other sites. This is our first visit but we will definitely be back, the access is great just off the motorway, but no noise from it.

Worth another visit to this area

Used this site as a call-in on our way back from a South Devon trip. Site was well kept, Wardens very friendly and welcoming. 15 min walk into Wellington, worth a stroll and then 10 min walk to the Skylark pub for evening meal, great deal 2 meals for the price of 1. But will use again as a base for exploring the area, bus stop close to the site as well.

Home from home

As always site well kept, flowers beautiful. Anne & Terry so happy , friendly wardens , busy people cutting hedges and painting. We walked into Wellington took us 15- 20 minutes, there is a bus every 20 minutes in both directions , Taunton  is 6 miles which is the county town , or  a trip to Bristol for big shoppers . Many members use cadeside  as a one night stopover on their way to Cornwall or back up north as it is 2/3 miles from M5. But Somerset has a lot to offer from the coast to the moors and pretty villages, and cream teas ??.  Give it a visit.  Xx from Baily & Molly ?? We love your dog walk.
