Nice site

First visit to Burford club site, though emacualte and very clean, for us, the other club site at Morton is much better. There are a number of positives for the site, the location of Cotswold wildlife park, the large play area for young children. It felt very much enclosed with not mich space between tourers. The dog walk area could be better like ourselves a number of families need to excercise pets and the limited off lead space is something that could be improved. There are not really any safe walking areas off the site and distance into Burford though beautiful and worth a visit is not close enough to walk safely along busy roads. Burford is a nice site but visiting the Cotswolds, Morton would be our choice.

Gem of a site.

We have just had our second visit to this site with our young grandchildren ages 3 and 5. The proximity to the Wild Life Park is a huge bonus and we visited the Park on both days we were there. The site has a visiting fish and chip van, and a pizza van, which are very convenient. The wardens are extremely welcoming and helpful. The site is immaculately kept and the pitches are generally flat and very well spaced out. The site is fabulous for children, with an excellent play area and small wooded areas along the edge of the field where they can play, climb trees, make dens and have adventures. The only disadvantage to the site is the distance into Burford itself. As we are in a motorhome we try to choose sites where we can walk easily to a pub or shop. There is parking available in Burford for motorhomes however, and many gorgeous villages and towns to visit nearby. This is a gem of a site and one that we will definitely be returning to.

Great site

Just back from a week at this site and it is definitely one of our favourites. As many people have said the welcome is great, warm and friendly. Also helped us out with a problem on our new motorhome. The site is great and the facilities are top notch too, will definitely be back!

Excellant site

We visited with friends, the site was above the expected standard but what really stood out was the friendliness and helpfulness of the wardens. We had such a lovely smiley welcome. A somewhat rare treat at some sites.

Lovely Site in the heart of The Cotswolds

Really lovely site, not too many trees and feels open and spacious with not too much shade. We enjoyed a great day at the Cotswold Wildlife park which is just opposite the site entrance, make sure you speak to the warden about discounted tickets. Facilities are really clean and the maintenance window is mid afternoon which we like. Good mix of grass and hardstanding pitches. Burford is within walking distance but the safe route via country lanes or cross country can take up to two hours but a lovely walk nonetheless. Plenty of local shops, cafes and eateries in Burford. We don't use our camper after we pitch but a bike would have been a useful addition to our kit.

Wonderful Stay

Stayed for a week and loved it. As is expected everything was clean and well kept. The icing on the cake was that all of the wardens were "smiley" and helpful. Could not praise them more.

Ideal stop over for Oxford parkrun

We stayed over on a Friday night to do the Oxford parkrun on the Saturday morning. It is less than a 30min drive away from start line for the parkrun and parking is available nearby. The Burford site was super peaceful and the staff friendly and helpful. We have a wee dog (Jack Russell) and the dog walking area is suitable. The Fish & Chip van on Friday evening was very welcome!

Friendly and welcoming site

This is the third time that we have stayed at this site and every time the wardens have been so friendly. There has never been anything that they couldn’t accommodate.

Fabulous site

First visit to this site, stayed for 6 nights. Friendly and welcoming wardens, spotless facilities, service points easy to find and regularly cleaned/emptied of rubbish. Two dog walks on site, one at the entrance adjoining the car park/road so dogs to be kept on lead but still a good area for a sniff and business stop!, the other at the far side of the site which is fully enclosed and dogs can be off lead - lovely area which is discretely hidden behind hedging with a lovely stick library to borrow from! When we visited the grass areas were not being used so the site felt really quiet with lots of space to enjoy. Visiting food vans throughout the week, Vinnie's Mac n Cheese was delicious and would thoroughly recommend. For pub grub head to The Riverside Inn in Lechlade, by the side of the Thames, lovely location, superb food and very dog friendly. 10 minute walk from site office, through park entrance gates and up hill into Cotswold Wildlife Park - discounted tickets from site being accepted, so no need to advance book - see how many cars you pass in the queue while you walk! 10 minute drive into Burford where there is unlimited free parking, Stow-on-the-Wold a must to visit too, lovely village with free parking, Thursday market and gorgeous cafes. Would thoroughly recommend this site.
