Lovely Break

We (my wife and I) stayed for 2 weeks at Burford and I can honestly say this is an outstanding club site, the maintenance, location and overall standard of the site was second to none! The wardens were very friendly and helpful, the shop was well stocked with daily newspapers freely available without ordering in advance. Location wise it is central to visit all of the attractions available in the Cotswolds and is directly opposite the entrance to the "wild life park" which is not only an excellent day out but also available at a discount price from the on site shop at the caravan park. Our only criticism is that there are quite a few grass pitches, we were lucky enough to have a hard standing pitch but the grass pitches meant that if you were putting up an awning then you had to lift your ground sheet daily to prevent the grass from dying. Overall we would highly recommend this site and will look forward to returning again soon.

Super site

Just had a couple of days at this super site, it was the cleanest, best maintained site I have ever been to. The warden were also tops, the club should be proud.

September week-end break

This was the second time we had been to the site, always pleasant and helpful staff. Shower blocks and toilet facilities spotlessly clean. Great location and loved walking around Burford and then on to Burford Garden Centre, where you could spend hours and hours. This time we visited the Wildlife Park - certainly worth it. Beautiful gardens, well kept animals and within walking distance of site too. Will definitely return - thank you to all concerned.

September break at Burford

Lovely clean and well maintained site. Wardens very friendly and helpful.  If visiting Oxford park at Pear Tree Park and Ride costs £2 for parking(remember to type registration number of car on machine before putting the money into the machine) the cost £2.80 return on the green line 300. Burford is lovely lots of nice cafes to have a coffee.  Bicester shopping village 27 miles from Burford, a experience not to be missed especially Prada shop.

Good time and helpful wardens

We had a problem with our electrics and the wardens were very helpful and patient in helping us to get it sorted. We also appreciated them reserving a pitch near the play area for our disabled daughter. Overall a really nice site but I must agree with previous review - the chap driving the grass cutting tractor drove far too fast (wanted to show him the 5 mile an hour hand sign but wasn't brave enough!).

Jobsworth

We were very pleased with our stay here. But the only problem was the gardener racing around everywhere driving the mower too fast as my children were playing out. Not acceptable. Did approach, but very rude indeed.

Bank Holiday Break

My wife and visited in our motorhome for the bank holiday weekend, we cycled into Burford on the Saturday, Walked to the Wildlife Park on the Sunday and Walked to the Garden Centre on the Monday, the site is a bit of a way out if you have a motorhome but if you don't mind a walk or a cycle then not a problem. The Wardens were great and the amenities clean and well looked after. Our only gripe was some of the other campers walking over our pitch, I can see why people have windbreaks up now so that people have to walk around the pitch. Would we revisit yes

Nice

Spent the August Bank Hoiliday here. The last time we visited this site was 1996 and wow what changes there have been.  Great wardens and everything was the way it should be apart from the usual speeding by a certain age group who should know better. Our grandchildren and their parents were with their caravan and loved the site.Cool

Feastival

Family of three, 70, 50 and 20. Wife and daughter went to Feastival I looked after our dogs. Excellent location and wardens brilliant, warm welcome/goodbye and very informative. Site was full and busy only slightly marked it down on overall rating and peace and quiet as there were alot of children. It was school holidays so please do not take this as a negative I am not Victor Meldrew our daughter is 20 and I was a child once...would definately return and visit the Cotswold Wildlife park next door. Great stay
