Disappointing Return

After visiting this site on 2 previous occasions we were left disappointed with our 4 night stay over the Easter weekend. On arrival, after a very tedious journey we had to wait on the road to get onto the site due to the queue waiting to book in, we were then informed that they were "pitch managing" and we were directed to a grass pitch,  we had to drive the van onto the pitch using the mover and it was sinking in to the ground then and it only got worse when Storm Katie arrived  turning it into a quagmire. Just to add to our disappointing arrival there was dog excrement next to the pitch marker post, which I stood on before I saw it and the young lad from the next Caravan kicked his football and hit ours despite the large playing field being directly opposite. All in all not a particularly nice stay and will seriously consider before making another return visit. On the positive side the facilities as usual were first class and the wardens were on hand to pull the vans on to the roadways ready for departure

LOVE IT

Our first trip away this year and yet again it didn't disappoint, we stayed here regularly last year as its quite close to home about an hour, and as usual we weren't disappointed! The weather unfortunately, wasn't fab, but our stay more than made up for it! The easter activities were enjoyed by all even if some of the clues for the easter egg hunt had us scratching our heads? One of my highlights as always is the lions roaring a fantastic sound! The wardens here are friendly, helpful and really join into the spirit of things, a real credit to the caravan club, counting down until we stay again :-)

Wonderful Site

We stayed here at the start of the 2016 season,in fact on the day that it opened.Met by very helpful and engaging wardens with the usual Club site introduction. We where guickly pitched and sorted out on a large pitch in well maintained park land type landscaping, which was a credit to the hard working team who took a real pride in the appearance and quality of the site. The close proximity to the very attractive Cotswold Wild Life Park was another bonus but there is much to do and see in this part of the Cotswolds. We will be back and have put it on our list of favourite sites.

In the heart of the cotswolds

We stayed at Burford for a week on a serviced pitch and was very impressed with the amount of grassed area around the pitches, the site has been thought out very good. It's a very easy site to get to just off the A40 so no problems getting there. There is a large supermarket about 10 minutes in the car if you need to do a large shop. We will be there again next year.      Marion and Mike.

October Half Term

Didn't know it was half term when i booked but you would never have known as the site wasn't noisey at all. Access to the site was good (no hidden narrow lanes). Plenty to see and do either in Oxfordshire or Gloucestershire.Plenty of places to visit for meals ie Inn for all seasons. lovely fish menu.Handy having the wild life park opposite. Usual high standard for a CC site. Would certainly visit again.

Our recent stay in the Cotswolds

This was an ideal site for visiting all the local Cotswold villages. The site was quiet and kept very clean& tidy. The only thing which let it down was the size of the dog walks. The staff were all lovely and so helpful. Definitely worth another visit in the Springtime. We shall return. With many thanks to the staff. Gillian & Dennis from Warwickshire.

Exceeded Expectations

As caravanning virgins we had our very first use of our new van at this site. The staff were cheerful & very helpful & even suggested a way of saving money! The site is well laid out and the facilities (toilet block etc) were excellent; comprehensive & spotlessly clean. Falling asleep to the sound of lions roaring has to be a rare experience. We were apprehensive about our first outing; we need not have been. Can't think how it could be better.

Just what the doctor ordered

We both needed a quiet weekend away and we were more than pleasantly surprised... The site is beautifully laid out,  our pitch was very large so plenty of space between neighbours!  Very tidy all round, friendly staff and the shop was well stocked even though it was the end of the season,  and well placed for places of interest, should you feel the need.  Burford is a gorgeous relaxed village with unusual shops and only 5 minutes away from the site.   All in all, a welcome break with no issues...we will definitely be back....
