Cotswolds and Cornish tour

Fantastic site for a stop over or a base for the Cotswolds, ideal for the Wildlife Park opposite with discount tickets bought from cc wardens who were very helpful and cheerful.

Midweek Break

Lovely site and friendly wardens although did not appreciate being chastised in the pouring rain while putting up awning for not being EXACTLY in the correct position on the pitch and being told by warden that my car wouldn'd fit in beside my caravan and my wheels would be on HIS grass. I assured him I knew the width of my own car and later proved this with room to spare.

An excellent experience

An immaculate site with extremely helpful and friendly wardens. We made use of the discounts offered for the Cotswold wildlife park opposite the site. We had an excellent morning at the park and were very impressed with the gardens and all the facilities. We would recommend it for families and oaps like ourselves. We look forward to another visit to this site

We loved it so much we're going back.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst on our way to Bladon Chains. It was an impromptu stop over and what a pleasant surprise it was. In fact we enjoyed our brief stay so much we are going back for a longer stay and taking friends with us too. Thanks for sorting out our booking "lovely" Al :-) Right from the get go we were treated like old friends not seen for a long time. We were made to feel very welcome by friendly helpful wardens. The shop at this site is the best I've seen in many a year. It's so good to see so many things for sale. Well done for the efforts made. The site is well laid out with a good selection of hardstanding pitches which is what we prefer being in a motorhomes. There are grass pitches too for those that prefer it. The ablution block was kept spotlessly clean and warm with plenty of hot water and water pressure. The service areas are kept clean and tidy. The laundry only has one of each machine and could do with two but then I think all sites should have two. The site is across the road from the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Hubster and I spent a fab day wandering around. Next time we are taking a picnic. Get your tickets from the CC site office as they are cheaper. We are looking forward to spending a week at this site in May/June with our Caravanning friends. Thanks to all who made our stay so enjoyable. See you soon. Regards Jules & Bill

Dog walk

Have been on other caravan sites where the dog walks have been much bigger. Very disappointed even though there is two.

Excellent 2nd time stay

This was the second time we have stayed at Burford, and it was just as successful as our first visit in late 2011. This was the first time our 5 year old Grandson had stayed where he also assisted in pitching and setting up the caravan. He was fascinated and hopefully will become a caravanning devotee as he grows up. Site was very clean and excellently maintained by the wardens, even if some people seemed to have little awareness of the damage they were doing to the grass verges surrounding the pitches with inconsiderate parking etc. (We even witnessed one couple deliberately remove one of the cones that had been specifically placed to try and prevent further damage to the grass so that they could drive directly out without having to reverse, whilst simply making the matter worse). Wardens were also excellent and very friendly and helpful - the lady who checked us in spent a few minutes explaining to our Grandson about the one-way system - he took it all in and fastidiously followed the one-way system for the duration of his stay. We have only given the location a score of 3 stars - this is simply because it is a couple or so miles from Burford itself and you do need some form of transport to get anywhere; but we can quite understand that for some people that would be a big plus - its just our opinion.

A super visit for the 5th time

We have always found this site suit us very well, we are both well into our 80's and enjoy the peaceful life. The area is well suited for visiting some beautiful places as well as those familiar to us. The staff, as is usual, we very welcoming and friendly. Being not far from home makes it even better

Will certainly be back!!

Just had a wonderful week here despite packing up in the snow!! Lovely site with very dedicated and helpful wardens. They had the site in fantastic condition despite a few days of bad weather. We were on a serviced pitch which are very large and the way they are angled gives you a nice view and a great degree of privacy. Spotless toilet block and a nice shop for the essentials.  Burford is ideally situated to tour the Cotswolds and Oxford. Very good choice of supermarkets in Witney 10-15 minutes away. Loads of nice pubs in Burford too.  All in all, a very enjoyable week. Thank you Burford CC!!
