We stayed at Burford for a short break of 3 nights. All helped along by the very friendly and extremely helpful assistant wardens Lisa and Chris. Chris in particular was great in that he helped us out with a technical matter. The classic motor hub at Bibury was an absolute pleasure to see and well worth a visit..
Overall, a nice stay on this serviced pitch.
Great site with easy access to the Wildlife Park
Stayed for the weekend with our 4 year old and his friend. Was pleasantly surprised with the size of the onsite park which was great fun for the children. Being opposite the Wildlife park it made it so easy to be able to gain access. Its worth noting that reduced tickets are available from the wardens hut on the day of the visit. Get your ticket stamped and you can leave the wildlife park and get back in.
Pitches and facilities all good with no complaints, signal for the phone networks can be a little hit and miss. Food vans on the Friday (Chip van) and Saturday (Pizza) were great. Good quality food and reasonably priced.
For another day out the Cotswold Motor museum is 20mins up the road and is a gem in Broughton on the Water. Kids loved seeing Brum.

Peace in the Cotswolds
Another lovely visit to this gem of a site. New wardens this time Lisa and Chris who have continued the high standards set by the previous wardens. We were on the fully serviced pitches and close to the facilities block which were excellent. Good TV signal although my only experience of the Free club Wi-Fi was poor so we used our hot spot on the phone rather than pay for the Premium Wi-Fi. Took advantage of the club discount to visit the Cotswold Wildlife park. Excellent fish and chips on the Friday night from the visiting van, they also have various vendors on other nights .Good play area for children and a dog walk. Some slight noise from low flying aircraft from Brize Norton.
What a cracker!!!
We were lucky to pick a short break away in fabulous Autumn sunshine, it was bliss. We'd stayed before in Bourton on the Water which was a little small and disappointing. Burford was a leap of faith in the hope that not all the Cotswold sites were so twee and rigid. WOW!! What a contrast! Spacious overall site, friendly wardens, lots of pitch options and spectacularly clean. Great base to explore the Cotswolds, the Wildlife park is a definite must to visit. Friday was Fish & Chip van and Saturday was Pizza. Highly recommended. Definitely will visit again.
Everything you expect from a proper club site
We mainly stay on Club CL's but stayed here because we were crossing back across the country coming home from Devon and it looked such easy access from the main road (which it was!). It's everything you'd hope from a club site. The staff were delightful and helpful as always and the little reception area sold all the essentials. I always find choosing a pitch a struggle on arrival as I feel you need to chose one on the first lap round and we had lots of choice on arrival even though the site was busy and we pitched in the end quite close to the playground (we don't have children with us) which we didn't really realise at first BUT it was no bother at all. The toilets were a fair old walk away and I do find this on club sites, I often feel a second lot would be helpful but I guess most people use their toilets and showers in their caravan/motorhome (which we do but as I'm paying more because I'm on a site with facilities I like to make the most of them ;0). I always found all the facilities to be clean and fresh. There was no road noise (or wildlife park noise) and there are food outlets that visit the site a few days a week (pizza etc). Would we go back if we wanted a club site in this area again rather than a CL.... we sure would!
Great site, spacious pitches
Had a lovely 5 night stay here last week. Interesting sounds at night from the wildlife park! Our only, very minor, criticism is that the light in the dishwashing room goes off after a few minutes plunging you into darkness and no manner of arm waving, tea-towel waving or door opening/closing will make it come on until it is ready! Stayed dark for several minutes so we had to resort to washing up by the light of a mobile phone until the lights decided to come back on! Only an issue on the first day, we were prepared after that! Can't wait to visit this site again. We love the area and this is a great base from which to explore.
Good size pitched
Lovely site, just what you would expect from a CAMC site. Good size pitches, seemed a bit bigger than normal, clean bathrooms, really friendly staff etc. Only negative for us with dogs is that it's a hike along the road for at least 30 mins to get to a decent dog walk. There's a small area on site where you can let your dog off lead but just be aware that unless you enjoy road walking you will need to take your dogs in a vehicle for a decent walk.
Another lovely visit
We have been visiting this site for many years now and it still remains our favourite. Spotlessly clean and well kept, the wardens are all lovely and very helpful and friendly. Burford is a charming village as are the Cotswolds in general. Wonderful safe cycling from the site to numerous picturesque villages and pubs. The river at Letchlade is also ideal for canoeing and paddle boarding. A visit to the wild life park across from the site is also well worth a visit whatever your age.
Perfectly located
We have just left after a two week stay at this site in our caravan, it’s our favourite site yet. Very friendly and helpful staff, and when we arrived we were given a choice of available pitches and were able to pick one closest to the dog walk (where dogs can be let off lead to do their business) and the park for the kids. Lots of families on site but the noise was not excessive. We loved being able to hear the lions, monkeys and peacocks at the Cotswolds Wildlife Park from our pitch and we did visit with the dogs and kids (reduced rate tickets available at reception) for the day which was a wonderful day out and we thought very good value. Facilities block on site includes male and female showers and toilets, washing up area and a small laundry with one washer and dryer (tokens available for purchase at reception, a token is £1 and the washing machine takes 3, and the dryer is 15mins per token). All facilities and the site in general was kept clean and tidy and a pleasure to stay at, we will definitely be back! Thank you - The B Team
Dogs fouling empty pitches on a beautiful site.
This is the third time we have stayed on this lovely site. The pitches are enormous, the facilities are spotless. The showers are hot without the dreaded push button. All the wardens are very friendly and extremely helpful. They always have time for a chat and the shop seems to stay open as long as its needed (within reason).
The site is just outside the beautiful Burford with its many eating places and very central for the lovely Cotswold villages. The Cotswold Wildlife Park is worth a visit.
Regular vendors on site offering fish and chips, Jacket Spuds, Pizza.
The only downside of this very lovely site is caused by selfish dog owners allowing their dogs to bark excessively and worse of all, allowing their dogs to foul on pitches. This is despite there being a dog walk on site. Some owners did not appear to want to walk as far as the dog walk but preferred to use the nearest vacant pitch. Sometimes this was in full view of our caravan window. There are so many dogs now on the sites we have visited and, although we are dog lovers, this definitely spoiled our stay. I feel the caravan club need to find a way of addressing this problem, maybe offering a separate area for dog owners?
