Great site for a long weekend.

A lovely weekend away not too far from home. Well laid out site very well maintained and really good showers etc as you would expect from CMC. The wardens were extremely helpful and welcoming. You can't really walk in to Burford but we found free parking. There are lots of places to eat and interesting shops. We also visited Letchlade a short drive away and had a nice walk on the Thames path. We will definitely visit again.

Very enjoyable

We have used Moreton In Marsh club site a number of times but we were heading to the New Forest this time so wanted to stay on the other side of the Cotswolds. The wardens were very friendly & helpful on check in & over the next couple of days, in fact we stayed there another day as we enjoyed the area so much. The wildlife park is great for a visit & very dog friendly which was unexpected. A nicely laid out & well situated site which we will definitely return to.

Great stay at Burford

We stayed at Burford in our motorhome from 7th to 10th June and had a fantastic time, the staff were friendly and very helpful and the facilities were excellent. We highly recommend the Cotswold Wildlife park it was the best one we have ever been to and you get a big discount booking with the Club site office. Burford village is great with some excellent restaurants, superb food at the Burford House hotel. We will definitely be back. Pete and Marina

Lovely quiet site. Very clean.

We booked this site for a long weekend as it is not too far from home. Site is well laid out and you don't feel like you are on top of each other. Toliet blocks very clean, nice showers, not the push button type. If you are wanting to walk into Burford it is not direct as the A361 is busy and you can't safely walk along it. Our route that we were show was about 5.5 km but it is pretty. This is among the best sites that we have visited, and we shall be returning. Had fish and chips on the Friday evening from the mobile chippy. They also had pizza oven on Saturday evening. Directly opposite the Cotswold Wildlife Park.

Benchmark is set!!!

As a family we are new to this caravaning game, and this was our first outing with our caravan, not to far from home, but to get everything set up and ensure everything was working as it should. If all of the sites are as clean and friendly as this one, then we are going to have a ball once we get into this game properly. How anybody can keep the toilet block/showers as clean and tidy as they do here with so many people using them at all hours is beyond me..... The benchmark has been set!!! The staff were all really friendly and helpful at all times too, even when we turned up late due to a closed road because of an accident - turning a caravan around in the road is also fun...... well...... I say fun...... but we did have a picnic in the middle of the road before we turned it around. If you have not been to this site - then do, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! This site is a pleasure to be at and a credit to the staff/owners. Keep it up :)

Possibly the nicest part of the Cotswolds.

As always, staff are great and the site is beautifully presented. As motorhomers we look for a convenient location. The site is about 2 miles from Burford and is only connected by the busy main road. If you intend to stay on site this is not an issue. However, we intended to cycle and so tbe site proved a great location. Burford is quite a bustling town but is really a must to visit. We also visited Bibury about 10 miles from the site. A remarkable village and incredibly photogenic! Have a look at Arlington Row, it's like a film set! Walking in the area is a bit limited and very muddy during our visit. If you can get on your bike the back roads are great for exploring some lovely locations. Possibly the nicest part of the Cotswolds. Have a great holiday.

Spacious and peaceful site

Burford caravan club site is a beautiful place set in a peaceful location. The wardens go above and beyond to help if you need it and nothing is too much trouble for them. The facilities are immaculately clean and cater for everyone. We have used this site twice so far and are so impressed we will visit again soon. Have already recommended Burford to friends and family so hopefully they will try the site too.

Lovely site

We booked very last minute for a long easter weekend after having to leave another waterlogged site earlier than expected. Very pleasant welcome from the wardens (and the two labs). Hardstanding only available due to the weather which was perfect for us. Facilities were spotless but only two service points so could be a trek depending on where you were pitched. Lots to do in the area. Witney is a very lovely town with two hours free parking in the town centre, and lots of charming Cotswold villages are in easy reach. We also visited Swindon which has a retail outlet based in an old steam engine workshop which was unusual and fascinating. It also has the only John Lewis outlet in the UK. Burford itself is very upmarket (expensive)! We went to visit the bus museum which was surprisingly shut on Easter weekend..... The only downside is that aside from the wildlife park you do need a vehicle to get anywhere as there isn't anything in walking distance. We were disappointed with the site Friday fsh and chip van, good price but soggy batter and skin on the fish (which was advertised as skinless). .
