Burford beauty!

Excellent site, well laid out with spotlessly clean toilet facilities and very welcoming, friendly staff. Some road noise as Wildlife Park is next door, but usually quiet during the evening and night. Also ideally situated for exploring Bibury, Blenheim Palace, and other attractions in Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds. We stay here when visiting family in Oxford. They come over with their caravan and we inevitably visit the Wildlife Park next door with the grandchildren. Great not having to take the car, and getting discounted tickets. Still a slightly surreal experience of hearing lions, monkeys and peacocks calling in the evening/night! We can highly recommend Cogges Farm at Witney for a great day out for adults and children. It's a charitable site so not expensive to get into. There is a café, but take a picnic if a nice day as there are plenty of tables and space (15 acres!). Children get to pet rabbits and guinea pigs, can buy a pot of veg to feed the goats and sheep, get dressed in period costume in the house and, if lucky, get to bake biscuits in the kitchen. There is an adventure playpark on site and a very large public site just across the road. Parking is free and there are walks along the river Windrush.

A first class centre and site for exploring some fantastic cotswold and areas around Oxford

Such a great site, across the road is the Cotswold Wild life park and a few other sites to immerse you time here in.Most impressive is the lay out as it feels so good even when full..

Beautiful site

Beautiful site. Well kept, shower /toilet block immaculate. Friendly wardens & staff. This site had a very friendly welcoming atmosphere & the children’s park was in a lovely area away from the pitches. Burford was beautiful, very quaint, however, it was a very busy main road through the centre,a nightmare which spoils sitting outside the tea rooms or pub on a gorgeous sunny day. However it didn’t spoil our visit & will definitely be visiting again. Caravan site a must stay. Well done all involved

A well maintained site in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds

The site is in a convenient location for exploring the many attractions of the Cotswolds. One of the local attractions well worth a visit is the Cotswold Wildlife Park which is literally just across the road from the site entrance. It was a welcome change to go out for the day and be able to pop back for lunch! Discounted tickets for the CWP are available in the campsite reception area. The campsite itself is well maintained and the toilet block and other areas are kept very clean and rubbish free. The campsite has a number of hard standing and grass pitches. We chose a grass pitch which we were slightly concerned about because of the extreme rainfall that occurred whilst we were there. Fortunately the pitch drained well and our small camper van did not get stuck. We enjoyed our short visit to the Burford campsite and would be pleased to return at some point.

Great location

Friendly staff, fairly level site, good choice of hard standing or grass pitches although grass are a bit of a walk from the only facilities block which was kept clean and tidy and was in fairly good nick. The site perimeter is well screened but would benefit from some hedges breaking it up a bit. Quiet site in general with occasional passing planes from RAF Brize Norton adding a bit of interest. We sometimes heard animals from the Cotswold wildlife park next door, discounted entry available. Also handy for Blenheim Palace which is great for a visit especially with the club 30% discount. Bourton on the water is also worth a visit.

Busy access on school holidays but well worth the visit to go to the Wildlife Park

Lots of families near play area. Some hard standing well away from the play area near the only shower block on site. So choose between quiet and near WCs or play area and more noise. Well worth the visit to go to the Wildlife Park as you can purchase cash tickets at a discount on site. Wardens are friendly and helpful but traffic may be an issue if there is a queue to the site or the park just on the other side of the road. Patience is required. Lovely area to visit and lots of local hostelries to visit.

Lovely well cared for site

Just spent a week here. It is a lovely quiet site and the toilet block is excellent, warm and clean. Wardens friendly and helpful. The fish and chip van on Friday was good and reasonably priced. There is nowhere to really walk to from the site although we did cycle on the back roads to Burford which was nice and quite quiet. We paid for Wi Fi but found it very difficult to log out of one device and onto another. We had hard standing which was fine but I really struggled to get the rock pegs in the awning as it felt like concrete. However we would return, lots of lovely places nearby to visit.

Lovely Site.

We stayed at this site in early May 2019, and it was very quiet as the kids were all back to school. There is a good selection of grass and hardstanding pitches, we prefer grass and that proved to be a good choice. Other reviews have mentioned the close proximity of the Wildlife Park, but we experiences no traffic issues apart from the morning we left, when cars were queuing at 9-15am waiting for the park to open. We were leaving, so it didn't hold us up. We have stayed here several times before and each time has been a very pleasant experience. Gripes. A few. Despite there being rules in place, we did meet a motorhome going the wrong way round the oneway system despite the no entry signs, I dread to think what the driver is like on a public road! We did also notice more than once caravans checking in well before the 12 o'clock check in time, why is that allowed? Can't people follow simple rules? Loose dogs were encountered off the lead, one rushed through our pitch one day, with no sign of its owner and finally why is the milk £1-30 for a 2 litre bottle in the shop, when most places sell it for half that price? Apart from those gripes, its a lovely site and we will be back.

Lovely peaceful site

Lovely peaceful site that is very well kept by excellent wardens. We spent a week there between bank holidays so it was very quiet, however I can image how busy it must be at peak times due to the neighbouring Cotswold Wildlife Park visitors. The Wildlife Park is well worth a visit and you can obtain discounted prices form the site office. We will definitely re visit in the not too distant future and also vist the dog friendly Wildlife Park again. The only down side the mobile reception is very poor to non extistant. Got to make a special mention again about the Wardens, they were brilliant.
