Bromyard Downs

Disappointing position being so close to the A44 which was noisy with a mixture of light and heavy vehicles. The pitches being very close together offered little privacy. None of this was the fault of the caretakers who were pleasant and helpful and who kept the site very clean and tidy. Best to book well in advance and go to the higher level.

Bromyard Downs

The site was quiet and peaceful. It was friendly and beautifully kept. There was some noise from the road but not loud enough to spoil our stay. Lovely idea to have fresh herb to help yourself from. Good walks from the site and over the Brockhampton Estate.

Good site, noisy road.

Easy to find. Lovely well maintained site. Spoiled by very busy , fast moving and extremely noisy main road which had to be crossed to access downs and local walks. Wardens are friendly and helpful. Lots of tubs of plants around site.

Bromyard Down Caravan Club Site

A site I would definately visit again.Wardens very friendly and helpful, site clean and tidy. How good that Caravan Club provides such a variety of sites. We do not always want to stay in large sites with full facilites .Small sites set in a rural location are a real bonus. Long may these sites remain.Very good site for dog owners plenty of places from site where can walk dogs off lead. Also lots of places to visit.

Bromyard Downs

Just had 10 night's at this site it is handy for visiting various places and is very well looked after by the wardens there is traffic noise both night and day but you get used to it my only concern is the position of the entrance sign on the main road it is set to far back to be seen on approach and very easy missed which meens you have to go down to Bromyard to turn around apart from that point I would definitely  return.

Not the quiet we hoped

We chose this site for a little peace and quiet, but what we didn't know is that here is a very busy road next to the site. Huge lorries and fast cars make this a very noisy place to be, it's not really much better at night when lorries still thunder down the hill.  The one saving grace is that there is a nice walk on the downs, over the road and along a lane and the bus stops outside the gate. There are no services at all, not even a motorhome service point, a must for us m/h users so for us, this is not a site we would return to.

Great site for local attractions

We chose to stay on this site because of the local attractions. Well situated for travelling around Herefordshire. Great site very peaceful. Located in an old quarry some pitches are quite sloping. We will certainly visit again soon.

a gem of a site

This really is a little gem of site. Why? Well, perhaps it’s the location, close to all sorts of things, including historic houses by the oodle and historic cities such as Worcester and Hereford. Perhaps it’s the convenience of local towns such as Malvern and Bromyard. Perhaps it’s the walking options which are plentiful, including the Malvern Hills and Bromyard Downs themselves. Perhaps it’s the fact that towing to the site is so simple, from main roads or from the M5 at Worcester. But perhaps it’s because when you turn in you find you’re entering a different world- an oasis of peace and calm. “Stop the world- I want to get off”!!! It really is a little gem of a site. There’s no play area so it may not be so suitable for young children. There’s no toilet block either – but there is a herb garden you can use for fresh herbs, minutes from your pitch. At times there can be a little road noise but it quietens down at night and, to be honest, after a few minutes I soon tuned out the road sounds and focused instead on the plentiful supply of birdsong. The wardens, who are tremendously kind, knowledgeable and helpful, have planted and put out many pots of flowers and soon the site will be a riot of colour. There are 2 pitching areas so each part has more the feel of a CL – no multiple rows of caravans- but the pitch size does tend to reflect what was the norm. 20 years ago- hardly a problem. If you just want a pleasant place to sit in a deckchair and relax then is also the site for you. In short, if you want an “all singing/all dancing” site with toilet block, laundry facilities and piped music this isn’t the place for you. If you’re not bothered about all that malarkey (or if you actively DON’T want it) then this probably is just the place. It’s certainly a lovely site to stay on, with heaps going for it.

BROMYARD DOWNS.

This was one of our very favourite sites but having just spent a week there as Motorhomers and dog owners we found that the new local Bus company-DRM Buses refuse to take any dogs-Thanks to some fellow campers who gave us a lift into Worcester. -So we will not be coming anymore-cannot get into Worcester,Hereford or Bromyard. This is a quiet friendly site-No toilet blocks obviously-Plenty of walks all around. The location would be ideal except for road noise from the A44. Thanks also to PK Mobile Caravan Services who helped us and 2 other couples with early season teething troubles.
