Location location location!

We have stayed at this site many times over the years, even back in the days before it was extended and you used to pull through the goods shed on arrival! What marked this visit was the lovely wardens, nothing was too much trouble. A big thank you for all your help.

Excellent Site, up to the Clubs usual high standards.

The facilities and site are spotless, the site is well laid out with large practical pitches and in a beautiful part of the country. We really enjoyed our week there. We liked the origionality of the top facility block with the original Wanderer in it.

Lovely Week at Broadway

We stayed at Broadway for a week just after Easter, The site and the facilities were spotless, the wardens were very helpful and friendly. Although the shower block was always clean I worried when I first got there that a site with over 100 pitches only had one block but I never had to queue for a shower or to use the toilets so it works! We will definitely be back, we loved it

Dissability friendly

First time we have been here, and it will not be the last, the wardens were very very helpful to us,and kept the site very very clean and tidy, even the dog walk was more tidy than my garden, lol,my wife uses a dissability scooter, and found that the distance to the village was easy going on a wide tarmaced pathway,on getting to the village you will find there are a number of drop pavements to cross the roads, and the eating and drinking houses were ver welcome of us,the village will provide you with all your needs, fish and chips at Russells fish and chip shop was great.all in all the village is well worth the visit.

Lovely place

We stayed over the  easter weekend. We have been many times over the last 13 years and have never had any complaints. This is a minor issue, but we had problems connecting to the TV booster system. We asked the wardens a couple of times and both kept telling us we needed to retune the TV from scratch. We have used the booster systems on many sites including Broadway many times in the past and felt that something wasn't right this time. We couldn't get any bbc channels using the booster system and the wardens didn't seem to want to help or perhaps could? In the end, we disconnected the booster system and actually got a better service using our caravan aerial ( the one that's one the roof). Anyway we left things alone as obviously the wardens were very busy. Then we tried to connect to the wifi. We bought a 24hr package at £2.50, which took us an hour to connect to. Once connected, we had an hours service and then it went off. As it was getting late at night, we thought we'd tackle it the next morning. The next morning, things were the same. We saw a warden pass by and politely asked, he wasn't able to help and kept telling us to keep trying. We eventually rang the service help line and was told that the wifi transmitter was down nearest to our pitch. This was fixed a few hours later as we purchased another 24hr package and things were fine from then. I have emailed them though since and they have agreed to refund me for the first package that we purchased. This was no trouble and they were very helpful. The disappointing thing we found over the weekend was that the wardens didn't seem sufficiently knowledgeable to deal with our problems and I await to see how much the telephone call cost me to sort this out. Anyway, none of this spoiled our weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed it, visiting Stratford and Boughton on the Water. Oh by the way, the diversion back took us quite abit out of the way, going back via Cheltenham. Not seen a diversion as long as that (approx 25 to 30 miles extra than normal). So if you're venturing out, just beware.

LOVELY SITE GOOD LOCATION

Just spent 4 nights here over easter, one of many stay at this site. The wardens are extremely friendly and helpful as per usual. The site was well kept and the facilities clean and well maintained. Site was busy but not noisy. The only criticism of the site is the size of the dog walk. The village was very busy being easter. The Indian has gone which was disappointing and is being replaced by some other eating place. There also appeared to be more empty premises. The Budgens in the village is excellent with very friendly staff. I would definitely recomment the caravan site.

Lovely site

This is our second stay at this site in the last 18 months during school holidays and we would certainly visit again. Clean, friendly, well laid out etc. There is a variety of birds visiting the site, perhaps enhanced by the nature reserve next door. We have enjoyed the site and whilst there are not lots of facilities for families, there is a play area, an indoor games area and mostly level grounds for bikes etc. (There are good play facilities in Broadway village itself) There were many well behaved dogs on site and within 10 mins of the site there are plenty of walking opportunities for all.  Within 20 miles are several NT places to visit.  Do make sure you visit Broadway Tower which is best accessed by walking from the old quarry cottages at the top of Fish Hill through the woodland and hillside or if feeling fit from the village itself.

Dog owners be aware!

This is my first ever review since rejoining after a few years absence from caravanning. I now have a motorhome and a dog and I have been looking at sites that are suitable for both, not at all easy. Although this site shows it is suitable for dogs it isn't really. The dog walk is literally a chicken run. In order to get to any other walks you have to walk along one or more fairly busy roads. There is no walk within easy reach of the site where you can let your dog off to run. Other than this aspect and some road noise the site was lovely and everyone was very friendly. Although I was in the top field I still noticed a little road noise so if you are in the bottom field it might be a bit to noisey as some of the pitches back onto the roads at either end. I would not come back to this site for the above reasons. I would like to see more information on the CC web sites about the dog walks. You have to read the reviews to get a better picture and I am now looking at sites that say they are good and then checking them out on Google Earth!!
