Well kept site

Beautifully kept site. Not the friendliest of welcomes. Of the half dozen entries in the Visitors book 3 members felt the same, more like an inconvenience than a member or customer. Pitches are of a good size. Several electric scooters were being used around the site using the long straight road in the new section and despite Cctv on the toilet blocks they continued for most of the week. Generally very quiet for a big site. Away from high days and holidays we would have no hesitation in returning as the friendliness of the wardens doesn't affect our enjoyment in anyway.

Don't Believe what you read......

A warm welcome when we arrived and the wardens were very friendly, even wishing us well on our journey home. Site clean and well maintained, nothing to complain about.

Don’t believe all you read

Just got back from 9nights on this site and can honestly say if anybody finds anything to moan about I just don’t know what they want. We found this site lovely and quiet although full most of the time everything spotless how can anybody moan about grass cutting it’s a big site with lots of grass sure they would have something to say if they turned up and grass was long and uncut don’t think the wardens can win people don’t like following rules that’s what most of the complaints are about I think they are doing a great job and the person that said the bins were always full well I’m sorry but we never saw that anyway we loved our stay here and this is our 4th time so go and make your own judgement I’m sure you will not be disappointed 😁

Lovely site.

4 night stay from 15th August. New to caravanning so was nervous having read some of the previous reviews about the wardens and was almost on the point of cancelling because of this. So glad we didn't. The site was relatively full but didn't seem noisy and there was still plenty of space. Facilities were good and kept very clean and tidy. The dog walk was handy for our four legged friend and there were lots of nice walks close to site. The wardens were not an issue to us. I explained that we were new to caravanning and was informed that there were plenty of people around to ask if we were struggling with anything. Implication was to ask other site users rather than wardens but that was ok with us. My impression was that the wardens were pleasant but a bit distant which could be percieved as being disinterested/dismissive (perhaps this is all related to COVID) but since we didn't need them for anything that was not a problem at all and we has a lovely stay.

Beautifully maintained and friendly

We arrived yesterday and rang ahead because we were bringing 2 cars plus my partners car would be there while he helped us to set up. Having seen some reviews I was a little concerned but I can honestly say the wardens were extremely helpful and have done everything possible to ensure there is parking for visitors. The site is very well maintained and a credit to the wardens. Let’s face it, during peak season with a full site getting all jobs done and grass cut etc is a tall order. The washroom facilities are as you would expect on a caravan and motor home club, perfectly clean and well maintained. I’m here with my daughter and two grandchildren, they love the play area and we have have dogs with us so the dog walk is a definite bonus. Pathways have been cut through the dog walk which are a good width. Overall I think the site is well worth a visit and we will be coming back again. Just hope the weather picks up for the remainder of our stay.

Lovely stay

We have just returned from 4 nights staying on this site. Friendly helpful wardens and clean facilities and could find nothing to complain about. A great site if you want to go to the beach and there are amazing coastal walks you can take from the site. If you want excellent fish & chips then give the 'Lighthouse fisheries' Flamborough a visit, you will not be disappointed. If you are an early riser you might even catch a glimpse of deer walking in the park.

The wardens were great

Having noticed some comments re the wardens before arriving, we were of course "looking out" for behaviour. Our experience was that they were friendly, helpful and smiling. We saw people come and go from the visitor car park with ease and the next door pitch seemed to have no issue with family visiting for a day. I believe the comments may reflect individual incidents as our stay was pleasant and enjoyable and I wouldn't like to think some reviews may put people off visiting. We met many people who have vans in storage and return to the site regularly and they all seemed very happy and relaxed.

Wardens

Nice site but the wardens are bringing the site down they are not the friendly and very talkative they advertise a shop but that was empty so you had to find a shop. if you like hearing lawn mowers all day everyday going then go there because that's all you hear. Bins on site are always full never empty them. They discriminate on disabilities. Also a lot of dog poo people don't pick up there mess. No fish and chip van or pizza on site to make it welcome. Won't return if the same wardens are there plus they need training on customer service skills.

If you want to be insulted and belittled stay here

I agree with the comments made by Mr Stuthridge regarding the rudeness of certain wardens on the Bridlington site. They are arrogant, disrespectful and belittling and seem to forget that we are paying customers who pay their wages. Why are the CAMC employing people who are obviously not suitable for this type of work, especially when there are so many complaints. We too have put in a complaint regarding our treatment here. In our case our grandchildren were to spend a few days with us as we had not seen them because of the COVID restrictions. My husband went down to reception to notify them of their impending arrival only to be told that my daughter could not park in the “visitors” car park,  and that we would have  to meet them off site as restrictions had been put in place to stop Visitor parking. The female warden’s attitude at the time was appalling and she had no intention of trying to be helpful even though there was more than sufficient space. She told us that this decision had not been made by them and that it had been put on the website apparently on the day we arrived. We paid for a nights stay so she could park. We later checked the website which stated that it was at the DISCRETION of the Wardens as to whether or not a visitor could park! She returned to take them home on the 6th August in the middle of a thunderstorm. When my husband who has COPD went to notify the wardens he was stood outside the office in a torrential downpour only to be told she could not access the site. He expected my husband to carry car seats and all the childrens belongings to the bin area. He then turned his back on my husband and walked away. Is this good customer service? When  I spoke to Head Office, I was informed that there were notices up on site. There are no notices anywhere and at the time of leaving there were still no notices . It was not until I said that site residents should be notified immediately any changes are made that a flyer was issued to everyone the next morning. As we did not receive a return call from H.O. in time, we took our grandchildren to a car park 2 miles away in torrential rain. I also find it unacceptable that one minute we are told that non-paying visitors cannot access the car park or site and then, in the following days before our departure, visitors were admitted to the site and some allowed to park on pitches, without charge. I think these wardens have very little in the way of skills in customer relations or adequate knowledge of what is required to run site administration. I also find it inconceivable that we had to pay for a nights stay for our daughter in these circumstances. The stress caused  has ruined our holiday with our grandchildren, whom we had not seen for 18 months. I am appalled at the way this situation was handled and how members are treated. Having read some of the reviews it seems no lessons have been learnt and no improvements made.

Excellent site

We have just stayed here and cannot understand all the negative comments about the wardens. We we met and greeted perfect, they had an issue with electrics (Norther power issue) they came round every pitch to explain and assure people. Excellent site for Bridlington took the bus in and out every day loved it. Will definitely be returning ASAP Well done. Just shows sometimes reviews aren’t all they seem.
