Great stay
It just shows that you should not always believe what you read. We also had great doubts about staying at this site having read so many negative reviews !! Well we certainly had nothing to worry about. We have been absent from camping for many years and have just returned to touring in our new motorhome. This was our first site visit since re-joining the caravan and Motorhome club.
We were met by a friendly warden with a great northern sense of humour. I wonder if this is what some people do not get !! It was so up lifting to have some friendly banter which made us laugh. It was a great start to a most enjoyable stay. All the other wardens we spoke too were also friendly and it was noted how hard working they are.
The site was well run, neat and tidy with very clean toilets and showers. It is in a great location so you don't need to move your motorhome . It's within walking distance of Sewerby and Bridlington. There is a handy bus stop outside the club entrance with buses running to both Bridlington and Flamborough.
There are some good places to eat out. We enjoyed a lovely meal at The Old Forge in Sewerby. There also is The Ship Inn with a great choice of meals although we didn't visit this but will try on our next visit as we shall definitely be returning .
Wish we could have stayed longer.
