Stayed one night as a stop over with the caravan great location & well kept site. Had a prolem with toilet cassette so went & enquired in the office for pointers as to where to get a replacement not only did they know where but even phoned the dealer & reserved the new cassette for me what extremely helpful site staff. Would liked to have stayed longer but had other commitments overall a lovely site with good dog walks/ Childrens play area & beautiful scenery
Excellent site
We stayed here for 5 nights in October and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Wardens were friendly and efficient, as were the staff in the useful site shop.
Toilets, showers etc were immaculately clean and although only one of the two blocks was open this late in the season, there was more than enough capacity. The 2pm cleaning time is a very good idea and should be adopted by all club sites (why ever not)?
The site is spacious and well maintained with a large play field and separate picnic area.
There is undoubtedly some traffic noise from the two adjacent roads but we didn’t find this particularly intrusive. Although you have to cross two dual carriageways to get to the canal towpath, you do this close to the roundabout and it is not as daunting as it sounds!
There’s a lot to do in the area, the Brecon Beacons are beautiful and we will undoubtedly return.
Lovely campsite
We only stayed one night as we were touring but really loved this site. The welcome at reception was friendly & we were given the choice of several pitches. The pitch was large & plenty of distance between other campervans and caravans. Hedges help with privacy & although it is a large site, it felt very cosy. The site is well maintained & appealing. A mobile pizza van was there when we arrived & we ordered our evening meal which was amazing - a lovely surprise. The site was peaceful & quiet and the facilities were clean - no queuing at any time. The shop was well stocked too. We would definitely recommend this site & hope to return in the future.
Will be back
We had the site booked prior to the pandemic starting and had to cancel. So I'm glad we rebooked when the chance surfaced again. We booked a serviced pitch for three weeks and apart from two or three days the weather was really good which is a treat for Wales! in September. I second all reviews that have been left by other members but I would like to add that when in Brecon and you fancy a snack try the church cafe. Tried 9 holes at Brecon G C £10 in the honesty box was money well spent, don't forget your scorecard or you could end up getting lost. A good day out at the National Park Visitor Centre parking was a pound for all-day take your own picnic ( food is on sale in the centre if you want) and seats for a lovely view of Pen Y Fan.

Brecon Break
Second visit for us this year , brought our bikes this time and the canal path was perfect to cycle along . It passes 2 pubs and a cafe , for refreshments .
The site also has a visiting pizza van , which we tried out and was good .
The walk into Brecon , the other direction along the canal , was also very pleasant and took about 35 mins to get to the canal basin and another 5 mins to the town centre , where there are lots of good shops and pubs with food.
We also used the bus service , which stops right outside the camp entrance , to go to Abergavenny and Crickhowell - both worth a visit.
The walk to the top of penyfan is another good day out , and again we used the bus from Brecon to get to the N.T. car park on the A470 which was full and we wouldn’t have found space for our Motorhome.
No problems with the site - all clean and tidy , and an excellent shop which seemed to sell everything ! We will be returning next year for certain.

Perfect site for exploring the Beacons
This was our first visit to this site. At checking in for a serviced pitch the wardens gave some advice on where they thought we might be happiest - good advice. Oddly, especially for a smallish site, there are two entrance barriers, one straight ahead and a second, less obvious one to one's left - while site roads are all joined up, the correct barrier will save a lot of one-waying at 5mph.
Two sides of this site border main roads, so expect some noise, especially at rush hours. However, we found that this dies down almost completely in the evening, so it wasn't a problem to us.
Dogs are very well catered for with a dog walk that begins on site through wooded paths, but extends beyond. Also a stream if, like us, you have a Lab.
There are two good-sized facility blocks, so one is always open, and the wardens run a well-stocked shop for basics.
If one follows the dog walk for an extra ten minutes, one come's out at a delightful pub with good ale and excellent food, well set out for the CV-19 restrictions that apply in Wales. We went twice.
One word of warning if booking a serviced pitch. Service points are provided to every pitch, but at one point between two pitches, which means that they're on the wrong side for half the pitches, We barely managed to connect water with 20 metres of hose, and connecting greay water was out of the question. Our pitch backed onto wild woodland, though I'm sure I would never run my grey water out that way ;-)
I saw several pitches though that needed to use Wastemasters and Aquarolls, which must have been a bit annoying. Cannot imagine why on-one designed things like that.
A canal close by takes walkers either to the heart of Brecon our out into the countryside, and the famous Pen y Fan is close by.
Brilliant site, can't wait to return.

Lovely site
Been to this site numerous times now.. Its a lovely big site.. Both shower blocks are big and plenty of room.. Lovely walk you can have down the canal and into brecon.. Or take the other walk to the local pub thru the trees etc.. This was our 1st run out in our new caravan and was successful.. Will be back
Lovely site
Just returned from an 8 day stay at this site wish it could have been longer.
Facilities were spotlessly clean all the time. The shop was really useful.
The dog walk was one of the best we have ever used. Lovely to walk through the woods to a river that our dog swam in. Really secure and safe.15 min walk to a fantastic pub bit off putting as it is in a housing estate but Sunday lunch to die for.
Lovely walk Ali g the canal into Brecon after you have crossed the dual carriageway but well worth it.
The wardens we met were all really friendly. Such a shame it’s not open all year but we are already planning our 2nd visit.
All in all a fantastic site
One of the very best
Really well kept site with some of the best facilities and kept very clean, lovely showers. Right on Brecon & Monmouthshire Canal towpath into Brecon one way, or right through Llangynidr, Crickhowell and on to Monmouth - just along the woodland walk out of site and over a roundabout. Also good local walks with woods and streams off the site's dog walk, plus to 3 Horseshoes pub and on up from Groesffordd to Cefn Brynich.
