Peaceful and Lovely
We stayed here for the August Bank Holiday and were very impressed; from the welcome and thorough sign in through to departure. The wardens at this site are very friendly and professional and we spoke to them a few times, they are knowledgeable about the area, what to do and how to get around. The on-site shop is the very best we have ever seen, the owners make sure they stock everything you could need, but also treats like locally produced goods. We were on pitch 45, but all pitches to us looked good. The site is impeccably well maintained and perhaps it not having toilet blocks is a good thing as it did not appear to attract too many children (a plus for us!)
Everyone was very friendly. The launch boat is about a 20 min walk from the site (buy your tickets at the site shop and save £1 pp), there are 3 tea rooms in walking distance and 2 hotels which enable non residents to have a drink. The roads to the site are a little tight especially when walkers park their cars on the roadside.
A great site and will certainly return.
