We have been here twice now and really like the site. The wardens are really friendly and very helpful. This is our first year of motorhoming and we love it! but there have been a few hiccups along the way...arriving to this site with your exhaust box just gone-well they knew we had arrived! The wardens looked up nearest garages and handed us a list. Second visit forgot tin opener, not a problem used theres. Think they know us by name now lol...we have 3 dogs and the strid and barden bridge for walking is beautifull and its right next door.
Great time
Great site, loved driving through the narrow gate :)
wished we had longer but we will be back

Wonderful site
This is an absolutely lovely site. Nice and quite, relaxing and very clean facilities. The only niggles I would have are the advertised walks which are limited and basically a walk round the edge of the park Possibly 5mins and your back where you started, . the welly walk etc that other people are mentioning are about 5 minutes by car down the road and cost around £8 per car to get in. and the owners/workers lack of enthusiasm when we arrived. We felt awkward and ushered out the office as quickly as possible.
fantastic
Stayed here for a long weekend and enjoyed every minute. The wardens were really cheerful and helpful and lots of walks and wildlife on your doorstep. No children's play area but that didn't worry us. Really peaceful relaxing break. Would recommend and would definitely go back.
A natural gem
In the woods of the Bolton Abbey estate this gem of a site blends with nature and abounds with wildlife. A perfect base for walking and exploring, our grandchildren loved the "Welly walk" with all its challenges.
The site lives up to the best traditions of the Club and is well worth a visit.

Walker's paradise
Strid Wood has been one of our favourite sites for many years, beautiful scenery, excellent facilities and plenty of great walks. Sadly this year we found the reduced bus service very restricting and we were unable to enjoy many of our much loved walks as the bus used to enable us to venture a little further. I know this is not the fault of the Caravan Club but visitors with motor homes should be aware of the changes. We will return but for shorter visits.

Beautiful place with great walks
This was our first trip out in our new motor home and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Just a shame we couldn't change the weather as it rained most of the time. However we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and so did the dogs. Great walks right on your doorstep with beautiful views. The site was well cared for and very clean. The wardens friendly and helpful. We will be back.
A beautiful place to walk and relax
We loved this site staff were helpfull ,people were friendly, the wildlife was just fantastic, we walked miles with such beautiful views will be going back regularly.
A Peaceful Break
We recently returned form yet another lovely break here. It is great for walking from the site down to the Strid onto the Bolton Abbey Estate. The wardens here are friendly and helpful. The facilities are spotless. It is a good site to access the Dales and also for visiting Ilkley and Skipton. The Devonshire arms restaurant nearby is lovely for a special treat as is the Craven Arms for a beer and food.
The mobile phone signal is nil but once out of the site you can access messages etc. The wifi signal is good. We will be back again.
