beautiful spot

Visited here in April. Quiet pleasant site, facilities all kept very clean and are well heated. Caravan club could save some money by fitting thermostat to dishwashing room radiator as it was always very hot in there! Wardens friendly and happy to answer questions. Good site to bring dogs due to very close proximity to Bolton Abbey estate - woods right on doorstep. Sadly some dog owners didn't seem able to pick up dog waste in the site dog walk area despite a bin being available by the entrance gate. Nice tearoom just outside gates for lovely cakes and a light lunch - take in a Bolton Abbey leaflet to get a free cream tea if you buy a hot drink. No mobile reception so we used wifi to keep in touch with the teenagers left at home.

Tranquil weekend

Excellent weekend.  Very pleasant staff and the site was clean, quiet although the weather was wet but it did not spoil the weekend.  Easy to visit the area and a lovely walk along the river to Bolton abbey from the campsite.  I would recommend this site to anyone.  Just be aware that you need an analogue television to receive programs.

Peace & Quiet

We arrived for our long Easter break bang on time and were welcomed in a friendly manner. The site is quite small but well kept with the usual spacious level pitches we expect of the club. The facilities were clean and tidy, again as you would expect and were kept that way even when the site was full over the busy weekend. The site is quite remote in the wonderful Yorkshire Dales and as its name suggests very close to Bolton Abbey, with all its miles of trails and activities. Its also not far from Skipton and other villages like Appletreewick and Burnsall. There are also great pubs serving real ale and good food, The Craven Arms in Appletreewick is one not to miss - if you can get in! As expected the area is a walkers paradise and we found the site to be a great base. At night there is no light pollution or noise for that matter and if you are lucky enough to have a clear sky the stars are amazing. Overall another great Caravan Club Site, often difficult to get on due to its popularity, but well worth the effort once you succeed in booking a pitch.  TV is analog but if you have a cable the TV bollards work well, some pitches had line of sight for satelite.  One slight downside is the mobile phone coverage is almost non-existant but is that a bad thing.  We used the clubs wifi which was quite fast and enabled email contact with the family back home and internet browsing was good.  Will we be back - you bet.

nice site for a quite getaway

pluses are its a terrific site and has plenty of good walks to enjoy with a brilliant cafe network along them , easy run into Skipton with a fantastic car park just before you reach the castle  which was only £2 for the day sat nav details are on the leaflet in the hut onsite. The downsides  of the  site are no mobile signal for 2 miles ! little tv coverage  and no real on site shop with papers and the like as the nearest proper shops are a long way away ! all these are easily fixed so come on club spend some of the money you make from our stays at this site on fixing them as they are all little niggles that shouldnt exist in 2016 on a full site this isnt a CL after all !

Another great break!

Showers and toilet block spotless and nice and warm. Staffed by very nice friendly helpful couple. Walks are first class with nice Tea rooms at the start/end and half way. This is our third visit and we plan to go again. One of the best located and cleanest site we have been on.

Beautiful site

Had 5 nights in November and really enjoyed our stay. The weather was poor but the walks are amazing and on the doorstep. Bolton Abbey is only a 45 min easy walk along the river. You get to walk past a fantastic gift shop and cafe that serves wonderful food and homemade cakes - well worth a visit.

Quiet location

Stayed for a weekend on way home after being cancelled at Rowntree park due to flooding and was pleasantly suprised. Good on site facilities and excellent walking for us and the dog both on and off site. Enjoyed a quick visit to Skipton just a few miles away even though the weather was awful with the usual excellent fish and chips at Busy Lizzies. Hope to get back in summer.
