tv distirbution network needs an overhaul

We had a lovely week here. Lots of walks along the Dales Way along the river banks. Many places to visit in the area. Everything well up to normal CC standards. We were however very frustrated by the TV reception. We bought a cable to plug into their analogue distribution system but the network was clearly in need of a complete overhaul. It would be good to upgrade it to digital, but in addition all the cables and connections need inspecting and checking for damp and corrosion.

Hidden gem

Lovey site with good clean facilities and we'll kept grounds, every body seemed very happy and friendly. Great variety of wild birds (green and great woodpecker feeding on bird feeders). Nice walk from site to abbey, a must visit. With the site only being 50m from us, we will be using it as one of our local weekenders. A hidden gem!

Fabulous week

My wife, Paula, and I, together with our greyhound, Leo, stayed here for 7 nights from 13.6.2016. What a beautiful, clean and well kept site it is. The wardens were friendly and informative, they do a fantastic job. We will recommend this site to others without any hesitation. The only downside is the lack of play facilities for children.

Lovely

Lovely quiet site, nice size (not too big). Everywhere is very looked after and the toilet/shower block was exceptionally clean at all times when we used them. Very helpful marshall/office staff. We went just for the weekend, very close to Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream Parlour (AKA Billy Bobs). Could do with a childrens play area/climbing frame though. We would definately visit again.

Peaceful mini holiday

Came to the site after several members recommended it. Wish we had come before, what a great little site. Everything was clean and well cared for. Only 1 toilet block but I never experienced any delays or saw uncleanliness or anything detrimental, it was obviously well cared for... oh yes, they even put the heating on when the weather turned cool.. We had our dog with us and have to highly recommend the dog walk area at the site but even more was the walking around The Stryd forest and river trails. The little shop was handy seemingly well stocked. TV reception through the site supplied network of aerial outputs was good although 1 night we did have some digitising, could have been the wine though :-) A good facility was the small café just at the site entrance which was linked to the Bolton Abbey estate, very handy after a walk in the woods. Road access, ah yes, right up to Bolton Abbey village it was fine, but although easily navigable, the road from there to the site was twisty and a bit narrow in places so take your time. Do not be put off by the brick arch across the road at the Abbey, it is easily passed through but the road each side is a bit narrow which makes it interesting if you meet other cars there, take care n go slow is the order of the day, interesting obstacle though... A very enjoyable and highly recommended site, well done to the warden staff there, highly commendable....

Top Drawer

The area, the walks, the river, the nearby tea room, and especially the site, everything about the place is top drawer. The prettiest and cleanest site we have stayed in and also the friendliest and most helpful wardens. We absolutely loved the place.

TV Reception

Even after purchasing a £15 booster cable from the site warden, I still could not get any TV channels to watch. Otherwise a nice site with a long wooded walk.

Awesome

First visit to this site/area, warm welcome by the wardens, very friendly site ,well maintained and spotlessly clean.if there was one slight blemish it was the lack of public transport ,non existent (we are motorhomers) but having said that it did not spoil our stay, in fact it enhanced it,the walks along the river in both directions were amazing, the beauty ,tranquility absalote perfect bliss. Would highly recommend this site,we will definitely be back this year can't wait Paul/Linda James

Excellent Site, Lovely Location, Great Wardens

This was our First caravan club site since we bought our caravan five years ago, as they are not flexible for weekend stays whilst working. However now we are retired we chose this site to visit the Yorkshire dales and interesting places such as Howarth. We were warmly welcomed by Gary and his wife who explained the pitches and the facilities and also assisted with us finding a sunny spot as the site has a lot of trees, which do create a lot of shade. The whole site is lovely and very well cared for and maintained in fact I should not praise it too much as it is already very popular and gets very busy especially at weekends. Fortunately our nine night visit did not have a children issue and the toilets were immaculate. We will return as loved the place, site and location. Thank you to wardens for helping us enjoy our first stay on a club site.

Excellent

Just returned from a week at this site (our fifth visit), which says it all. We love the site and the location. Weather was excellent too.  The wardens were as always very friendly and healthy. They work extremely hard on a busy site, particularly as there are only the two of them. The facilities are always cleaned to a high standard but, sadly some of the people staying there do not respect this and leave the toilets in a pretty poor state.  In comparison to some of the more modern sites with upgraded facilities you could argue that the toilet block is tired and need of a makeover. However, this not a reflection of how well the site is run by the wardens.  We will definitely be back again.
