Great little site

Great site with excellent views over Berwick on Tweed, toilets modern and clean, some pitches are a bit small so pitching a caravan can be a challenge. Being on a exposed hill it can get a bit windy but this is offset by the wonderful view, you will not be disappointed. Berwick on Tweed is a very interesting historical place

A Rather Wet Mayday Weekend Break

A five night stay arriving on the Thursday before the Mayday bank holiday meant that we were well established before the rush of arrivals on Friday. The welcoming site team mapped out for us all of the pitches suitable for our just short of 8 metre caravan - there are quite a number of shortish pitches on this site. The ratio of facilities in the well kept toilet block, to the number of pitches is good so no queuing like we have experienced elsewhere. Despite the rain which seemed to defy the forecast at times, the site has great views across the mouth of the Tweed. Although the East coast main line runs close behind the site, the noise level was surprisingly low and never disturbed our sleep. Tide times were right and the weather was great on Saturday afternoon so we made a trip to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne only a short drive away. We made the short journey to Paxton House on Sunday, no longer occupied and in the hands of a trust - excellent informative guided tour. From the site it is just a short walk down to the Spittal beach for a stroll along the sand if the sun shines. Some photos of the site at https://www.flickr.com/photos/g0cqk/albums/72157667946191915

Great Break

We have just returned from a great 4 night stay at this site. The site itself is well laid out with spacious pitches and the facilities are modern and always kept clean also the views from the pitches are great. The town of Berwick is a 20 minute walk away and has a good selection of pubs, shops and cafes also close by are Alnwick and Bamborough castles. Seahouses, Etal and Lindisfarne are also within easy reach. Overall a great site in a great location.

What a surprise

Our first visit to this site and what a surprise. Typical high standards expected on a club site but with outstanding views and within easy reach of the town. We will certainly visit again and stay longer next time.

A short break [extended]

This was our first time at Berwick Seaview - and what a view! The site was in very good order and the staff on duty were very helpful. Although the site was full over the weekend we were fortunate to manage to extend our stay by one day. We aim to spend more time there. - Didn't see much on the trains - they seem to hide in a cutting as they go passed.

Well worth a visit

Firstly let me say that the facilities were of a high standard and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We had been considering visiting this site for some time but had been a bit reluctant because of its proximity to the main East Coast railway line - this is flagged up by the Club and has also be mentioned in some of the reviews. To anybody else who has been thinking the same let me say that there is some noise but surprisingly we did not find it intrusive. Had we visited the site in the 1950s I think the noise of the steam trains would have been very intrusive but it is now an electrified line so the noise is minimal. The Northumberland coast is one of our favourite areas and this site is an ideal base for exploring it further.

Seaview pitches

Beautiful views, but beside a railway line. Motorhome service area a little awkward, as you have to drive all the way round the site, use your barrier pass to leave, then use it again to enter. Obviously not a problem for caravanner. Otherwise site is well laid out considering it's on a slope. Wardens very cheery and  helpful, lovely doggie kisses from the latest recruit. Toilets spotless, as was dishwashing area. Site very close to beach, so ideal for dog owners to walk their friends. Supermarkets close by. Enjoyed a great day out at Ford and Etal estate.

Long weekend April 2016

Stayed there for 5 nights great site, great views of mouth of the river tweed, good location, the only draw back was having to pay 10p extra for a newspaper when other sites charge 5p or nothing extra.

Fabulous views

Just returned from a 4 night stay at this site, would highly recommend it to others. The wardens are very friendly and helpful, facilities are first class. This site has views to die for and is very close to Spittal beach and promenade, good walking direct from site into Berwick, also local friendly pubs. Will definitely be returning.
