Excellent Site

Our first CC site and an excellent choice! From the very friendly and efficient welcome to the cheery best wishes on departure it is very difficult to find any fault. Proximity to the main East Coast railway means that whilst not really intrusive, trains passing have a small impact on quietness. However, this is offset by the lovely views across Berwick harbour and the River Tweed. The facilities are immaculate  with the toilet block spotless and in first class condition. Berwick town is a 30 minute flat walk away - head down to the riverbank immediately turning right and then cut through the houses to the river. A lovely walk using the old bridge into the town - exploring the town walls is recommended! All in all, an excellent introduction and a 'hard act to follow'! Thank you to all staff who obviously take pride in their site.

what a wonderful view

This site was easy to find and the welcome was warm. We were invited to drive around the site and select the pitch that we preferred. The views from almost every pitch were good because of the elevated nature of the site. Berwick is full of surprises and we found lots to do after we had completed our cycling trips (many cycling opportunities available). Highly recommended.

A Northumberland Gem

Lovely site with magnificent views over the sea and the town of Berwick. It is well placed to enjoy the peacefulness of the site and close enough to enjoy all of the amenities of Berwick. We could only stay for one night due to work commitments but we will certainly be back there as soon as we can.

Second Vist this year

Stayed here in June this year and just knew we had to return. This time the site was obviously very quite but everything was as before top rate. The winter wardens were very welcoming and went the extra mile when we arrived very late because of an accident, just a simple telephone call to them and a late arrival plan was hatched. Great site, area, views and everything else. Many thanks

Wild but welcome

After 40 years this is the latest in the season (last week in Nov)we have ventured out for some fresh air.  Fresh it was and a walk down the prom soon blew away the cobwebs!   The most welcoming wardens and an immaculate site.  Handy for supermarkets, bus into town and several take away shops.  Wonderful coastal walks if the weather is even half reasonable.   We will venture out late again - great!

A big thanks to the wardens

We were booked onto Rowntree Park, York for last weekend but as our arrival date neared the site was shut due to flooding. I did not want to travel a hundred miles south in the hope that it might  reopen so I had a word with the wardens at Seaview who could not have been more helpful. Consequently I cancelled my booking at York, sorry changed my booking, and travelled north to Berwick instead, booking in for two nights initially with the hope of extending my stay if the weather improved. Alas that was not to be so after a couple of nights we pushed off home - what a sad way to end the season! Never mind we enjoyed our stay at Berwick, got the pick of the site as to where to pitch and had a grand time. Thank you to the wardens who made it all possible - we will return !

The finest Tweed....

Stayed at the end of the 2015 season. Lovely position overlooking Berwick and Tweed estuary, although town itself is slightly sad. Don't approach site via Cow Lane - very narrow, manual railway crossing on steep slope, all easily avoided. Entrance/ exit on slope and scraped towbar on way out so watch it if you're like us and have a large overhang. Site was faultless and up to expected standard and views and proximity to town really makes it worth it.

LOVELY SITE

This is a lovely site with stunning views of the bay. The staff are helpful and polite. It is a wonderful stop off for visiting the Borders.

Excellent as Always

We spent 2 nights here last weekend and as always it was excellent. The weather was terrible but the friendly wardens managed to keep the facilities all clean and tidy. The site is well laid out and the views are excellent also recently some of the trees and hedges have been trimmed back meaning that the majority of pitches can now enjoy a sea view. There is a bit of noise from the railway line that runs behind the site but nothing too intrusive. Berwick town centre is a 25 minute walk or a 5 minute drive away and has a good selection of shops, cafes and pubs. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area with Alnwick and Bamborough Castle within easy reach also Lindisfarne is close by. All in all a great site in a great location.
