Our weekend stay

Very nice park, lovely large pitches. Staff very helpful, really very clean and tidy toilet block. We had a full serviced pitch and everything was very well placed and easy to use. Perfect stay.

Truly cosmopolitan

This site welcomes visitors from all over Europe; on a recent visit we met people from Germany and Holland as well as local and other UK visitors. It is a good clean site, well tended and set out with no pitch any great distance from the facilities. The wardens work hard keeping the site and toilet blocks looking perfect. There are a couple of minor drawbacks: the TV signal is not brilliant (but this can be rectified by using a long aerial cable to connect to the point on the power post); the motorway is about half a mile away (as the crow flies) and you can occasionally hear the muted sound of traffic. There is a play area for children (5 yrs plus - not little ones) and a dog walking area. We find it a perfect place for relaxing and visiting the area.

Disappointed

I have recently said on the Bersted site and whilst I have no problem with the site I found the wardens rather brusque and unhelpful. They claimed to be under duress due to Operation Stack, which didn't make sense as the Site Full sign was up. We arrived when there were around 18 unoccupied spots and were told we couldn't choose as 'plots are allocated here'  I can understand this where large RV's or the disabled are concerned. However we did not wish to be sited under trees and next to the play area. It took 4 requests, and 3 days, before we were permitted to move. The TV signal is dire and the bollard system was no better but we were unable to use our satellite system due to the trees. We felt the site is too small for the number of vans.

Good site

My wife and I stayed here as a stopover for three nights whilst visiting friends in Sittingbourne. We found the site very well kept by the busy and friendly wardens. We found the TV signal very weak using our own Ariel, but soon rectified this by plugging into the site system. The only criticism is the toilet/shower block. Although extremely clean and well kept, it is not big enough when the site is at full capacity, as it was when we were there. We both had to queue and wait for toilet and shower cubicles to become available in early morning. Good site to use for exploring the Kent area.

Bearsted

I was not actually meant to be here, only getting caught up in operation stack, meant an overnight stop here.Wardens very helpful as they could see how stressed out I was when I arrived over an hour later than my planned arrival.Allocated a grass pitch furthest away from reception and extremely pleased with it.Allowing me to sit outside in peace and quite. You can hear a slight background hum from nearby M20 (when its flowing) but not intrusive.Near to Maidstone town centre and Kent attractions.Probably only thing it lacks is a off site walk.

The Garden of England - Almost!

As a Kentish Man, I head for Bearsted when visiting my home county and have always been delighted by the welcome given by the wardens and volunteers over the past 5 years. A word of warning - if you are travelling from the London direction and Operation Stack is in progress (as it has been six times over the past five weeks), leave the M20 at junction 7 and head for Maidstone and take the A20 coastbound. It might save your blood pressure! A delightful site that is really cared for - as are its visitors, even though some do not appreciate it but then they shouldn't be there! Controversial? Maybe!

Convenient and Quiet

My last review lost in Cloud so another try. One of our favourite Club sites. Beautifully manicured pitches, fully serviced pitches, no messing with finding a pitch, sensibly allocated pre arrival. Good TV and Wifi signals. Very little road noise, just a little from Eurostar. There is much to do in the area too from coast to countryside. Friendly helpful wardens. Like the arrival policy at least one hour after departures. Should be national guideline.

One night stay

Have used this site on route to Eurotunnel and a stop over on our return journey - found wardens very helpful and pleasant. The facilities were clean and tidy.

Great for a close to home mini break

Have visited twice so far and will be visiting again in the next few weeks. The location is very close to the motorway exit which makes it very easy to find, great if you've had a long journey to get here. This also means you can hear some traffic noise but it's honestly not very intrusive and dosent spoil your stay. During my stay Operation Stack was in place and I recommend checking the southbound M20 carefully as I was stuck between junctions 7&8 for 3hrs! If in doubt jump of at J7 Maidstone and follow the A20 if approaching from London. Otherwise everything was perfect, I had a grass pitch this time and it was lovely, like having the perfect lawn that someone else had done all the hard work to!
