Super Stay

We recently stayed 3 nights everything perfect, location facilities and weather, the site is beautifully maintained and the staff friendly and very helpful. They very kindly allowed us to stay on pitch later to ensure a visit to Rudyard Kipling's house which was wonderful.

Excellent

Just back from another stay at this lovely site which is looked after by an excellent team of wardens who keep the grounds and facilities to a very high standard. The only minor comment is that once again the rhodedendrums were not yet in full blloom  come on Suz please make sure they are all out in time for  our visit next year. Thanks again to all the wardens for their hard work

The Best So Far

We are quite new to caravanning this being our third season. This was our second visit here this year both times staying four nights. What can I say but only agree with the other reviews. The Wardens make you feel welcome are very helpful and full of advice. The site is set in beautiful grounds, we were lucky to see the rhododendrons in full bloom. The toilet blocks and the other facilities are kept in pristine condition a pleasure to use. We have been to some lovely club sites but this beats them all. Fantastic site for visiting the local area. There is a local pub close by, the Squirrels Inn that serves fantastic home cooked food and are dog friendly you will probably pass it on the way in.

Club's Best Site?

After our 8 day stay and our first time on this site, we have nothing but praise for every aspect from location to facilities and friendly staff. This site has the ideal combination of being an excellent base for visiting so many attractions and such a pleasant site to return to and relax in each evening. Having travelled all over the UK in our motorhome for almost 22 years and having stayed on approaching 400 sites in that time, Normanhurst Court easily makes our top five. We hope to return!

'Excellent'

First time back at this site after 13 years and still as good as it was then...very welcoming wardens and facilities are spotlessly clean. Very peacefull and relaxing and a good base to tour the area, would highly recommend. Good site for both caravans and motor homes. Can't wait for the next visit, won't leave it so long next time.

Cracking Site

Our favourite Site so far. Lovely warm and friendly welcome from the Wardens. This is a fantastic Site for nature lovers, lots of mature native trees, rabbits, foxes, squirrels and a tame cock pheasant. The whole Site is very well maintained as are the toilet blocks. You can get to the seaside in about twenty minutes making it good for families. We will return. Derek & Jill.

Just Great!

Our first visit to this site and what a lovely peaceful site it is in late April. We are interested in history and plenty of English Heritage sites within easy reach especially Battle Abbey which is wonderful. We visited Brighton, Hastings and Eastbourne and then returned to this gem. Everyone was really friendly and the site is clean and well maintained with walks starting directly from the site. We will be back as there is so much to see in this area.

Great site in fabulous surroundings

We visited over the busy Easter Bank Holiday weekend, and were met at the gate by the friendly wardens, who quickly explained the site and the available pitches. We chose one on what would have been the terrace of the old house, and it was a stunning location. The site is well laid out, and despite being full (although not all the grass pitches were open when we visited) didn't seem busy or overcrowded. Reception gladly lent us a book on the history of the site, the mansion that once stood there, the family who owned it and the many uses it had prior to it falling into disrepair - well worth asking if you can borrow this for the evening! While the house may have gone, the beautiful gardens, specimen trees, terraces and stone steps remain and this gives the site character that is in missing others - no sense that you are camping in a field here! Despite being busy, the toilet blocks were spotless. This site is a little gem in the network, the wardens are friendly and helpful and we have already booked a return visit! Highly recommended
